Well I was rummaging around in my documents (seriously I have 1000's of random files) and I came across this:
A quick google told me I made that keyboard back on Nov 28, 2007, 12:18 AM
Over a year on and very little has changed from the format of double this/triple that
The question is, do you still enjoy weekend events? Do you think simple events like double faction is a formula that works? You you even pay any attention to them at all?
(P.S I realise that keyboard needs an update, any suggestions for new keys?)
Weekend events - Your opinion?

I enjoy the weekend events that help me get titles, but the others that involve gvg and other hardcore pvp events only target one audience. I would think it would be best if they have each weekend an event that applies to pvp, and one that applies to pve.
Ex. PVP: Double Faction and gladiator points in random arenas(self explanatory)
PVE: Double gold identification weekend(for every gold you id you get 2 wisdom pts)

Meh the only event weekends i actually enjoy these days are AB, because its so easy. I like the weekend ones like special item drops, but i dont enjoy them mainly because i spend the weekend farming the unique item. There needs to be more EoTN rep point weekends -.- it would help while im trying to max my norn and vanguard.

second making a pvp and pve aspect to each weekend, although at this point I don't need them nearly to the point that I used to (most of the grindy titles are out of the way).
I'm all for them though, they are nice extra perks, and at this point, it's pretty much expected.
One new thing though, with the Zaishen quests/bounties, you can double up on some things, which is very nice.

How so? Generally it's PvP weekend, then PvE weekend, and repeat. Sometimes there are 2 PvP weekends, sometimes there are 2 PvE weekends. And afaik, PvP weekends are pretty balanced out for all/most forms of PvP.
Anyways, I don't participate in most weekend events, but I do appreciate that ANet do them. They could do nothing for weekends, and any event is better than no event (except for mAT weekends, lag sucks).

big fan of holiday events. Faction weekends seem useless to me unless they are in random arena because of the amazing amount of denial of classes they have in a lot of things. You cant do FoW/Underworld unless you have _____ you cant do Slavers Exile if you dont have RoJ blah blah. You can't do this because you are not an assassin.
Its all just so annoying how the community turned a game where you can play with a group of people and tackle quests and stuff into a very small group of people who seperate new players because they dont have a skill that they need to spam because otherwise we are unable to beat it cause its to hard. Or if they do talk to you, you need to sign a contract with their guild along with your soul and you cannot see family members ever again.
Luckily Z-Quests have won my faith in Guild Wars 2 community. Meaning I am not left alone with my small guild of friends and family to build a guild around. Its nice to get a well rounded group together to tackle a HM quest or mission. Its enjoyable for me and is a big reason why I jump on everyday. I can only hope that this is just the beginning of whats to come in GW2
p.s. to those who may feel hurt from my comments about excluding players. You ever think that the developers made the mission/quest/dungeon that hard so it takes a good group to do it with good teamwork rather than spamming 3 skills?

I never liked the idea of the weekend events. We used to get by fine without them. By having them all the time now, it kinda destroys the specialness of having them in the first place. Now, its just "special weekend." *shrug*
But it's too late to pull em back now. Otherwise the qq would be epic.
