Can I Death-Level a normal Phoenix?

I was wondering because I want to add a phoenix to my HoM. Is it possible to death-level these? and if so where?

i did it
but it didn't evolve i dont know why

just beat the mission and have a hero rez you
you can't go afk i think

i did this death lvl when i went to sleep, bring Mo/W with rez and heal sig, shift off all other skills and put her to avoid combat.
flag all the other heroes and hench far far away, single flag monk you want to rez you close to the pet you want to death lvl.

only issue with this area for death lvling a pet is it is a small space, your healer hero CAN get stuck, make sure to flag him/her in a area where they have enough space to run around.

GL it is a fun pet

after you beat shiro go all the way to the end of the end game board and you'll find a couple of phoenix's take your pick!

Ok, well thank you for your responses but I found a way to do it, just cap one and put it in the zaishen menagerie, go out and get 60 dp with 3 heroes that have rez on them. then make the pet hostile and put on a vamp wep, you we keep dying and the pet will level. Mine was hearty when it was finished.
