Okay, I know it's a stupid mistake, but this ought to change.
The bonus is lost if you forget to talk to the guard. And a looong time of mission in HM is lost if you forgot about it.
Why is it this way? It's a pointless annoyance that serves NOTHING. And probably a lot of people (especially those that don't use Wiki) won't know why they didn't have bonus completed.
Yes, I was doing that mission for the quest, but it has happened to me and my friends few times before.

Considering how he has an exclamation mark above his head, and during the game they are used to indicate that you should talk to this person, it is completely your own fault and not that of the game's if you do not take heed of the advice and talk to him.
As well as that, there is a wiki stating clearly that you should talk to him, and if you are doing something in HM where you want the reward you should make sure you know everthing that you have to do.

Hello world, I was working on my mission of life and somewhere along the way I was supposed to join the boy scouts so I could learn to be prepared. Now I am too old and it seems like all the progress I have made so far is pointless. I think you should include a direction booklet with a well laid out life plan so that I don't miss anything important on my journey. Also can I start over, I also forgot to pick up some tips on common sense.
Its a very minor change which is never going to happen. Its not worth a new thread in here. I agree it's a kind of nonsence in the mission, and it should be fixed, but after 1 time making the mistake, you know the drill right?
@ Mods, might wanne close this thread as it's going to be the center of the trolling universe

I'm more bothered about how the Ettins may kill a Villager in ONE hit if they spawn too close and team up spiking together regardless of how fast you are to get to the Villager, because all they have is Healing Signet, which is interrupted by the knockdowns of the Ettins, making the mission more about luck than about skill or speed.
I'd give the Villagers Dolyak Signet and/or Endure Pain.

Please close the thread, too many trolls came.
Mithran - Dolyak? I think that would be frustrating. I'd say give them Defy Pain.
They can survive 6 Tengu, but not 6 Ettins. The difference is the knockdowns.
Last time I made the mission I saved one of them from the Tengu while the sluggish monk came to heal him just with a little bit of Blindness. But the Ettins are different, I ran there, and it was already dead, not being able to use the signet due to the knockdowns.
So anything preventing them from being knocked down for a while should be enough. A stance, the signet...
