Why is the EOTN unlock pack 10 dollars?

It seems to contain much less than all the other campaign unlock packs. It doesn't even unlock any elite skills. Am I missing something?

EOTN has tons of new content with 18 dungeons(i think) and many new pve only skills. Consumables were introduced there as well. You can also acquire new armor and more heroes. I believe it was well worth the $.

@Mia: The new content is irrelevant to the unlock packs, which only unlock skills. They don't give you dungeons, PvE skills, access to armor, etc.

The EotN pack unlocks 100 skills, while the other packs unlock 214 to 330 skills each, so you don't get as much for the money from the EotN pack.

@OP: $10 seems to be about the minimum the store will charge for anything, supposedly because of transaction costs. New character slots, Xunali Panes, etc. all go for $10. NCSoft's version of a "micro" transaction. Don't ask me why they don't bundle some of these things together so the $10 gives you an appropriate value.

Lol... might as well go buy those skills from a skill trainer. 100k vs 10$? hah no question about that.

Exactly. What is the point of purchasing the EOTN-pack, especially when it contains no elite skills, unlike the others packs?

These pack unlocks heroes too, right? Even so, it is fairly quick to get the Balthazar faction necessary to unlock heroes.

Just cap them or use tomes. Never mind the question of why 100 skills costs 10$.

Yeah, when you put it that way $10 sounds like a great deal. Especially considering I only have 3k across all characters right now.

I think he was saying 10 dollars is a rip-off because its so easy to just buy all these skills from a trainer.

Capping non-elite skills is a waste.

Why not just buy/cap the skills you want/need, then once they get nerfed get another few that enhance your skill bar, if you get them all at once you'll be like "Whaaaaa?! Nothing to do, I'ma quit!"

You got to really really suck at the game to have to buy ANY of the unlock packs, and even more with the eotn pack. If you even considered buying one, big shame on you.

It is well worth the 10 dollars

Eotn contains some of the better skills in the game
especially for monks

I just bought Eotn two days ago and my monk has never been happier

Won't you have to buy those skills on a PvE character no matter what? If you unlock them it just means they are unlocked for use on pvp characters and unlocked in the account, so you can get them with a tome.

If your a pve character and going to buy the unlock packs.....why? Your still gonna have to pay gold and skill points to get them for use. Even if your a pvp character, why spend 10 when you can spend a couple faction and get the skills you want. You won't need them all.

Normal tomes are cheaper than buying skills directly from a trainer, and you don't need a skill point to learn an unlocked skill from a tome. So the unlock pack can save a lot of gold for a PvE character. Plus, you will never again need to buy or cap a skill for a hero, since all heroes for all PvE characters have instant access to unlocked skills.
