Hey all, as title states, which is better for a derv? Drunken master without being drunk? or HoF? I know one has 33% other has 15%, but the downtime on HoF is pretty long, so, I'd like to hear your opinions on which is better.

Drunken Master, you don't need any Mysticism, it's maintainable, it's a lot harder to strip and it lasts f*cking ages along with the fact that it works with consumables. The only real downfall is grind and that it takes up a PvE skill slot.

Even with avatars. Think about it, you'll be spending more time casting than kicking the shit out of some bots.

Drunken MAster is the best stance in the game IMO. Just buy some lvl 1 drinks and pop one in while. It's not rly a problem to get the maximum of it.

Playing devil's advocate, I personally think DM is pretty fail, because I don't like relying on consumables to run a build correctly, and 15% IAS is pretty unappealing to me. Using HoF with good enough for me, especially when running Eternal Aura, as it can be upkeept all the time. Even without and an enchantment mod, it lasts pretty long with High mysticism.

Plus, unless they corrected it, you can't just pop one level 1 alcohol and get the benefit, you actually have to be -drunk-. Maybe if it lasted indefinitely I would use it.

Pious Fury is good with builds with no/little enchantments and Whirling Charge is good as well.

If you have access to a steady stream of alcohol, go for DM. If not, stick with HoF.

I would use [Drunken Master] anyway, except when using one of the avatars with [Eternal Aura]. With higher deldrimor rank it can offer a relatively nice attack and movement speed. The best if used with alcohol, of course, so if you can pile up some drinks in your inventory before going out into the wilds, the better.

I like [Drunken Master] because it provides IAS and IMS. You have to be DRUNK (3 drinks or more) for DM to gain the bonus IAS/IMS, and you have to maintain being drunk, or else it reduces to the base IAS/IMS boost. This is easiest if you have a steady supply of Firewater, Aged Dwarven Ale, or other max-level Alcohol, but you can do it with lvl-1 drinks as well, just involves more clicks than micro-ing a Hero or two, lol.
