min spear
squiros
i threw away my starter spear. ironically, i need the lowest possible damage spear. all of the collectors listed on wiki are max damage.
sometimes our party engages a group of enemies - most of which have blocking stances. sometimes, our party is unable to remove said stance or is otherwise incapable of communicating which enemies have the stance removed. so the enemy i'm targeting, sadly, needs to live as long as possible, so that i can milk the adrenaline i need to fuel SY!. i have a peppermint spear, but i'd really like something ultimately harmless.

As a SY you too should be contributing damage to your party.
Bring swift javelin
get a necro to bring rigor mortis
get a dervish to use wild blow
or bring a war with whirling axe
If you insist on doing as little damage as possible, do chahbek village (nm) a few times and put 0 in spear mastery

Moloch Vein
Your best option is to farm for items right outside Kamadan.

this is for pugs, i don't control everything/everyone that goes, yet i do want to help people from time to time. and sometimes, i'm in areas where people simply don't have access to many skills.
furthermore, there are many areas where i do need to do damage, so my spear mastery is 10+1. as an imbagon, my role is defense first and foremost. damage contributions iff(if and only if) it helps the party.
thanx moloch. i was thinking starter areas, but i wasn't aware that spears dropped there.

As some others have said its silly to try and do as little damage as you possible can. You just need to play better and come properly equipped for the area that you are adventuring out to. There are many skills that are either unblockable or remove stances on hit. There is also one specifically for Paragons [Wild Throw].
As well as many other options for Stance Removal.
[Whirling Axe]
[Wild Blow]
[Wild Strike]
and also skill that allow foes not to block at all.
[Rigor Mortis]
[Expose Defenses]
The easiest solution to you problem is throw Wild Throw into your bar or a hero paragon bar with the second easiest being bring a curse necro with [Rigor Mortis]. If you go the route of the Curse Necro there is alot of other neat options to go with as the Curse line has a vast amount of nice skills that work well with melee dmg.
Good Necro Curses
[Barbs]
[Mark of Pain]
[Enfeebling Blood]
[Defile Defenses]
[Rip Enchantment]
Good Necro Curse Elites
[Lingering Curse]
[Soul Bind]
[Spiteful Spirit]
Hope this helps. Not sure if any of this skill icons are gonna be wrong but you can look at the correct version of the skills if they are wrong here http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Index_of_skill_lists

these are pug groups - where skills may or may not be available. i am not always the leader, nor can i force people to show me their real bars and then keep them until mission.
this is not a skill question, incidentally. this is a question about equipment, specifically, whether anyone is aware of spears that have starter damage.
at any rate, nevermind. i just created a new char and took his. just in case anyone was wondering - i was trying out a fire wand. any, since the requirement won't be met. unfortunately, wands are slightly slower so in the event that SY! drops, it's difficult to rebuild since spear of fury can't be used by wands.

Squiros, I understand what you are trying to accomplish. But you really should listen to the people that are politely telling you your reasoning is foolish. How hard is it for you to switch targets after the one you called is dead?
It doesn't matter if it's for use in PuGs. The only reason I would accept for your strategy is if your team was built around skills like [mark of pain] and [spiteful spirit], where applying those hexes on a strong target and having it live longer allows you to kill more of the surrounding targets for a longer peroid of time without having to recast on new targets.
But even so, with skills like [arcane echo] available to necros, that method isn't needed anywhere I can think of, even in HM.

Keeping foe alive just to fuel SY! is ... foolish.
Dead foes stop contributing to damage, hence you have less reasons to keep SY! up, so you should be more okay with pumping less SY!
[Wild Throw] was mentioned, use it.

Well if you REALLY need a minimum spear try the crafter in kamaden.

pretty sure the command place next to Kamadan will give you a starter spear if you talk to one of the paragon trainers.
And I can actually understand, though I think Rigor/Wild Throw is definitely a somewhat better option.
