* Eye of the North Reputation Weekend -- 8 May 2009

Complete quests and defeat foes while under the effect of a shrine bonus this weekend to earn double Asura, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard, and Norn reputation points. Points for completed books are unaffected. This boost will last through 11:59 PM Pacific (-7 GMT) on Sunday.

Would be cool if some of the zquests involved these areas this weekend

I say bug out of the ceremony and go for your Masters/PhD. They don't announce your name for your Bachelor's degree.

It's not like there's any jobs anyway.

WOOT, I am gonna manage to max my norn; it should take about 6 hours as I am R8 already.

Then going to work on my Asura, this is easy for me as I am a sin :P Let's hope they don't nerf shadowform.

Could any one tell me where the best place are to 'farm' these rep points.
I take it raptors are good for asura? But I'm not sure on any others.
Cheers!

Vanquish is the way to go, gives insane points during events, maxed my Norn and Asura with it before. I've been waiting for this for ages, now I can finally max my Vanguard and get a little closer to LMotN since I hate vanquishing (but during event the rewards are kind of worth it so.. ^^)

Have never done the Keg thing, but:

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Path_to_Revelations

having that quest yourself + vanquishing Varajar = lol norn points. Should be easy to find groups running it out of Olaf this weekend.

Dwarven: Do the snowman dungeon on hard mode.
Norn: Varajar Fells with The Path to Revelations quest (Quest spawns extra bosses for more points)
Ebon Vanguard: Dalada Uplands / Sacnoth Valley

Here, I have a tutorial on how to do the keg bombing on Youtube. It is in HD and my friend Xavier made this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMz2KR58OFQ

Watch that then look for the part 2 and 3

It covers the run and the kegbomb

For Vanguard one of the easiest ways to reach rank 8 is to buy/collect Encrypted Charr Battle Plans and do the "Special Ops" mini-missions.

The missions are EXTREMELY EASY, and depending on which of the 3 random missions you get, and how they spawn, they only take between 1 and 5 minutes each. 1000 Vanguard rep points each time. So you can get up to 15000 points/hour... if you have enough Battle Plans (it helps to get your guildmates and friends together and pool resources). Note: You can't progress beyond rank 8 using Battle Plans.

These rewards will not be boosted this weekend, and you can do them any time. So unless you're working on ranks 9 and 10, I'd concentrate on the other rep titles first.

Running 600 smite in any of the dungeons (especially CoF) is very good for Delver points.

Yeah seems like a good time for me to get vanquishing the Norn zones done, since that is the last faction i need the title for.

Sahweeet, ive been planning to finnish my norn for weeks, and now i have a guildie with the quest Path to Revalations, and with a full vanq, should yield 15k+ points

For asuran the best way is to vanquish magus stones IMO, that's what i done. Each run gave me 5-8K+ (depending on if i was able to beat each time trial + boss hunt) And each run took me an hour + 20minutes with sabsway, probably faster with discordway.

For dwarven, i done the snowman dungeon over and over, each run taking 13 minutes (my record was 11) and yielding 3k reputation + alot of chests to open.

For ebon vanguard im still working out a plan, ive vanquished each area and none giving a good time vs points ratio.

For Norn ive been repeatedly vanquishing varaja fells for 6-8k+ per run.

But all these will be doubled this weekend, so get vanquishing!

Umm - just by managing your run, killing 250, getting shrines, and (most importantly) having rampage when you go to the bosses you get 15K at any time. So just remember to double that this weekend. If you go in after 250 kills with a rampage then each of the 6 bosses will pay 1.8K points (or 2.2K if you are also lucky enough to score a boss bounty).

Yeah i know, but my guildies need to vanq this area so we'l be going for a full vanq leaving the path to revalation bosses till last, should yield a fair amount of points this weekend.

Looks like I'm just gonna contribute to the common theme here:

Time to man up and Vanquish Sacnoth Valley. That will leave me within one HM book of max Vanguard.

All my others are max already, so I'll end up doing Sacnoth and 2 other Vanquishes with my girlfriend for LMotN.

Not the greatest weekend, but it gives me some motivation to do Sacnoth.

Well, it says "Complete quests and defeat foes while under the effect of a shrine bonus this weekend to earn double Asura, Deldrimor, Ebon Vanguard, and Norn reputation points." - and as dungeons are actually quests, I'd assume the answer is yes.

If so, woohoo!

So is it more worth it to vanquish than to grind hero handbooks for this weekend? Which one would have a better reputation gained vs time spent ratio?

The wiki recommends grinding hero handbooks for maxing reputation. Is that still true for this weekend?

I am doing my "Elusive golemancer" and "G.O.L.E.M" Zaishen quests this weekend for the double rep bonus.

For a monk, I highly recommend maxing Vanguard & Asura...the others are easy to get (run dungeons & vanquish varajar fells).

I think this is time for me to get one of these title.. Never really bothered because I'm that lazy to repeat something I've already done.. But at least I will try to max my Dwarven rep by repeatedly doing that Frosty's lair.. Is that even possible? if yes any idea how many runs? >.< (I'm rank 5, abt to reach 6).

If also possible I want to also complete the Norn, but got to find an easy way like dwarven.. Asuran is impossible for me, I wish I can farm that raptor, but my main is a Warrior.. /sigh
