Title Character
Silvia Shadowback
I recently made a ranger and am going for legendary survivor at the moment. I also have a sin that was a few titles already, including r6 Deldrimor, protector of cantha, r4 in other EoTN titles, and also around 200 points in party animal, sweet tooth, drunkard. However he is not a survivor, so I am wonder would it be worth it to just start over on ranger with titles and have an easy max, or continue on sin with a few mid-range titles?
I like playing them both equally well, so that's not a deciding factor. Mainly would having survivor be worth the effort of getting other titles up from r1 again?

Unless you plan to get GWAMM, don't worry about either of them. If, however, you want GWAMM, Survivor will make it easier. My advice is to use the one you enjoy playing the most, and have an easier time finding teams to do stuff with. Since most of the titles require large amounts of time, you will be playing the character a lot. Make is a character you enjoy playing.
29 titles are fairly easy to get, although some cost money/time. Look at this list, and notice what titles are left off:
Protector (3 titles total)
Guardian (4 titles total)
Cartographer (4 titles total)
Vanquisher (4 titles total)
Skill Hunter (4 titles total)
SS/LB (2 titles total)
GW:EN Rep titles (4 titles total)
Master of the North (1 title total)
Drunkard (1 title total)
Sweet Tooth (1 title total)
Party Animal (1 title total)
That is 29 titles total. Now, the remaining is a matter of planning or diligence.
Survivor
Kurzick/Luxon
Legendary Defender of Ascalon
Lucky/Unlucky
Treasure Hunter
Wisdom
So, if you want to hit GWAMM, the Survivor title will make things easier for you. But you could always restart the Assassin if that is a character you enjoy playing more. Several of those 'last' titles are account wide, so you can work on them with other characters while still getting Survivor.

How much do you play?
If you don't play much - it might be good to stick with what you have since you'll never reach God Walking, so just carry on with your first guy.
If on the other hand you play a bit more - thus God Walking actually being a reality, you know that the progress in the titles you have now means nothing in terms of how long it's going to take to re-do them. So it should be easy to recreate the titles you have, PLUS you get access to survivor also.

As for me, I chose my rangers to be the title characters because of the Rainbow Phoenix, even though my necro has more titles. I would probably not care about GWAMM once they gain rank 2.

I wonder how many Assassin, Ritualist and Mesmer GWAMMs there are. No problem to get with useful professions like Monk and Ranger. Should have started with Assassin ages ago. That could prove a challenge. Hm...
FengShuiDove
Assassin a challenge? Not so much, not with AP Discordway or [[Wounding Strike]+[[Asuran Scan] on a Critscythe with either Discord or Sabway Sins can roll PvE.
That aside, and back on-topic: Between Ranger and Assassin, you're gonna feel negligible difference. Grouping may be different but if you can't do something by yourself, then you'll need a guild to group with either. My gal plays a Ranger and I play an Assassin and together we've destroyed pretty much everything in-game.
Also, the titles you listed on your Assassin aren't that high, and won't take long at all to get back up to if you recreate or reroll.
Just decide which one you like playing more.

Yeh i too started a ranger title char for that reason, then when the ZM came around, i ditched my ranger and went back to my ele thats already got 9 titles maxed.
Daesu
Yeah same here, I started my rangers on the title farming before the ZM came around. Now, my rangers have more titles and are further along than my other characters so I may as well continue with them.
riceangel
if your sin has only one max title, prot of cantha(which is very easy), it is a perfectly acceptable idea to switch as ur title character
UnOvertime
Legendary Survivor would help a lot if you are far away from maxed account titles since you will need at least 1 for GWAMM, but really it should be the character you enjoy playing the most. My first god character was my mesmer that did not have Leg Survivor, but my paragon that I am working on now has it. So if you like them both equally then you could always restart your sin and get leg survivor since the titles you listed aren't maxed or you haven't sunk a large amount of money into them.

- Ah yes, I forgot that non-profession specific PvE skills dominate everything in PvE. You might as well be sitting there under permanent Shadow Form and watch your heroes kill everything one by one. There is no challenge, besides that imposed by leaving party members. Only factor is time taken, and some people have all the time in their hands. Reminds me of the first play through prophecies. Eles in team used their most damaging 25 energy nukes and we had to wait for them to regain their energy between mobs. "Whenever you're ready to go".

You're kidding, right? Assassins have plenty of viable builds for PvE. Don't become one of the QQonoespermasf crowd or turn this thread into that. I didn't even mention it. Sure Sins might not have as many viable elites as Warriors, but a Critical Barrager is viable, Critscythe, Moebius, AP + Discord, the list goes on.
While I'm saying this, Rangers are quite adequate at using most martial weapons as well.
To the OP: If you choose either Ranger or Assassin, you have chosen a class that can decently run daggers, hammer, scythe, spear, bow, etc. If at any time you get bored run A/D Critscythe, R/D attack spam, R/W [[Earth Shaker], A/R Critbarrage, etc.

I'm content with KOABD nevermind GWAMM.
Daesu
That is actually very easy.
LDoA, Survival, 3 Protectors, Sunspear, LB.
More than enough to get KoaBD. Unfortunately for me, I am doing this on old characters so the first 2 options are out for me.
I still can get KoaBD quite easily with Protectors, SS, and LB but I have find 5 more harder titles to max. Probably Guardians and Reputation.
