May Skill Balances

Just to let you all know, the May Skill balance update will be on May 14 this month.

We will be distributing the XTH points, swapping out the tonic, doing AT map rotations, etc. tomorrow (May 7).

Unbelieveable ...

We were actually having a chat in alliance the other day about anets current stance on PvP - It's been clear for a while now to those most dedicated PvP'ers that anet no longer want to support the community - Izzy is the only one actively communicating with the PvP crowd via his balance forums , and I get the impression from him that he simply channels the ideas given - onto the live support team who then implement and finalise the balance as he primarily focuses on GW2.

I seen the balance update notes earlier on in the week , so why the hell is this being delayed AGAIN !!!

Im sure there was a user with a naughty character name that needed attention asap so you couldnt prioritise this MUCH NEEDED balance.

I'll let all the following pvers thank you anyway for sharing the news , Im not gonna sugar coat you guys are RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing useless.

Since there wasn't one last month, and this one is being delayed, this one better be huge or else the QQ-storm will be epic.

May 14th, with a grace period of 2-4 weeks?

Thanks for the note though, many people have been wondering if a skill balance was even happening.

You know that the skill balances used to come on the second thursday of every month right? Besides, even if it is one week late, it won't make that big of a difference anyways unless you PvP in front of your computer all day long. Also, there's no need to flame like that; you're the one being unprofessional here. She just did what every CR would have done, inform the community of the news.

And btw, how exactly is anet being 'sued left and right'? Drama queens.

Skill update is bad? I love how people are so pissed about how late it is... Calm down, we did have a fairly large content update recently. Let's see what Anet has coming, I like it when they shake the game up a bit.

You know that skill balance havent come on second thursday of every month since 2008 right ? Please dont comment on a matter that doesnt concern you , to those it does concern it makes a big difference as unlike you so arrogantly presumed my guild doesnt have time to sit infront of the game 24/7 , we wont play much as it is maybe 2-3 times before the May MAT and were hoping for a reasonable amount of time to adjust our playstyle and build to the new meta.

^Read your original post again - you flaming Regina/Anet just because they were a week late updating is the whole reason why I said you're overreacting. Besides, my point was that the updates used to come every second thursday for nearly 4 years so you would have had the same amount of time to adjust back then as it is this month; so what if they were a week late for one month? Does that justify you calling them f***ing useless?

Sure hope Spawning Power gets fixed.

Ever given any thought to the idea that there could be a morale problem amongst GW developers ?

Pretty certain that if I was working on GW right now I certainly wouldn't be putting in more than my regular hours and if 5 o clock came I wouldn't hang around finishing some coding.

But the whining Winging the moaning and groaning and that's before any alteration is made.

Always the same month after month.

The update is late, then when it comes they stupidly fixed some things that were ok and made them not ok while totally ignoring the comprehensive list of fixes you had been yammering on about for ages.

I mean its not as if your ideas and theories on the game where not perfectly understandable by any idiot except anet programmers.

not a defence of anet as a company just a defence of the poor working stiff that gets it from this and I am sure other communities on a daily basis.

There are plenty of PvP'ers that would do skillbalancing for free. Heck im sure some of them would even pay to do it...

It isn't only the fact that the skill balance's are delayed -if they were good i wouldn't mind so much, it's the fact that they are delayed, shit and look like they were thrown together in twenty minutes(add maybe two hours for playtesting?).

Since when is there a set deadline of "first week of the month"?

Sounds fun. :P Lets hope Palm Strike gets Nerfed again ^_^

Has there even been a pvp update where the pvp community has been happy with ? Never.

I don't spend my whole day at RA or Guild wars. I don't play my elementalist at all anymore. I play GvG/HA/HB when I can.
