Access key with a existing account

a friend of mines wants to make his own account with his own set of characters but he doesnt have a laptop/desktop yet but he has the game. so i was plannin on havin him use my laptop so he can make his account but i have my game/account on my laptop. so if i was to create a new guild wars account thru my account/game will my character get deleted after i enter his game's access key?

Nope, your characters are safe. They are saved server side, not on your laptop. This means, that so long as you have your account info, you(and your friend) can play on any computer that has GW installed.
The templates and screenshot folders, however are locally saved and you'll be sharing that so long as your friend plays on your laptop.

yes, you can have multiple accounts with one Guild Wars installaton. Many people have several accounts that they play with, all on one computer.

Do not ADD his key. You need to create a new account. You can create another account with a new key at the start-up screen. Just don't log in to your account and add his key.
