More than 4 weapon sets...
Cleaver The Enraged Panda
I don't know if this is the right place, but...
I really think Anet should give us more than 4 weapon sets.
I need quite a few, staff, daggers, 3 different shields (+10 piercing, lightning, fire), Zealous scythe, etc.
Anyone else think we should have like 8+ weapon sets that we can use?
Clicking different shields when I need them is getting old. I really wish I could just press a button to switch it, like we can with the 4 we can currently have.

Are F5-12 used for anything?

It's called prepping for the area you will be confronting. There is no reason...NO reason...anyone should need 8+ weapon sets accessible, other than laziness. Christ, a warrior should only need three for the bow he uses for pulling. For PvP, there are a few you need to cover most situations. For PvE...hell, you know what you are facing.
Meat Axe
Cherng Butter
Do want. I've had plenty of times monking where I would have liked to switch my shields on command for different damage types, but rummaging through my inventory was such a pain.

I want -
+10 AR shield for each elemental type (4 slots).
20% reduced blind shield / +30 energy weapon set here (attacker / caster).
Enchant / Stance shield depending on build.
Anti hex shield (-3 dmg, +60 health, helps against degen).
Longbow / 40/40 caster set.
= 8 weapon slots please.
I dont have all those weapons, but will be able to thanks to equipment bags now.

as a monk, I'd need a staff, 40/40 set, a high set, a low set, a spear with cripple mod, lightning mod, fire mod, cold mod, slashing mod, piercing mod just as bare minimum standard.
Do not comment on PvP again, ever...

Put on your slashing shield as the warrior lands his Power Attack and
immediately switch to your lightning shield as the Mind Shock lands and
immediately switch to your piercing shield as the Keen Arrow lands and
immediately switch to your slashing shield as the Protector's Strike lands and
immediately switch to your piercing shield as the Hunter's and Savage Shot lands
There are few cases where you would need more than four sets. One for each damage type shield is not the case. Shields should be swapped in the very beginning of the match, where you determine what is the main source of the opponents' damage. That shield (for the most part) stays to be that damage type. I've only come across a handful of bars out of the many I have played that would benefit from more than one set. The tombs Lingering Curse necromancer with Consume Corpse + snares is probably one of the few, since you would benefit from:
Shield Set
40/40 Curse
Curse High Set
40/40 Earth
20/40 Death Staff for Consume Corpse
I'm not against this; in fact, it would be pretty nice, but it has very limited applications. You guys are overemphasizing these needs.
Gforce
I agree with Lutz on this, although I would probably use some more sets if there were more slots to use.
Stuff like +5e and -5e shieldset, low health set etc come to mind.

Just add them and give them no default key, so if we don't want to bind them or don't want them at all we can leave them alone.

I only use 2 weapon sets which will probably result in some of you calling me a noob, but using 5 or more sets would be really distracting. That's a whole nother variable to think about and monitor while in battle, unless it was just for random convenience, not actual switching 24/7.

seems like a good idea. especially with the implementation of the new weapon bas

Not a bad idea. Remove F5-F8. make F9 show all bags, but make them expandable.
Cleaver The Enraged Panda
Yep, pretty much. :]]
MithranArkanere
Alllow to quick link consumables too, and I'm in.
It's a pain to open the bags when I want to gobble a drink to keep maxed the PvE drunken skill effects.

low set
high set
enchant set
+slashing/fire/lightning/cold
-cripple set
depending on what kind of monk, they could also use both
fast cast heal/prot sets
or just one of those sets.
As an axe warrior, I know I would like 5-6 sets for.
Ebon
Vamp
Zealous
Spear
Flatbow
and sometimes, 40/40 curse for rip enchant
For hammer
Ebon
Sundering/vamp
Zealous
Spear
Flatbow
high set for deathpact.
I think a lot of classes would benefit greatly from this. At least I wouldn't have to keep reopening my item window to switch manually..

Well, smart monks that know the workings of Guild Wars, anyway.

(by the way, Death Pact doesn't benefit from a high set anymore. It was changed a long time ago.)

Woooooooow @ DPS
Also, wouldn't having more weapon slots mostly eliminate the need for keeping your inventory open all game? What's the point if not to switch weapons constantly?
