Hey,

If I try to open my texmod , panda scans it and says it's a trojan (which I know is not) ... It changes the name to texmod_exe.vir and I can't open it anymore.
Is there a way to exclude this file from the scan?

Thanks!

How do you know it's not?

I don't use Panda, so I can't really help you with the how part
but there should most definitely be a way to exclude it from scans.

I actually temporarily disable my antivirus' real time protection to load TexMod.
I'm too lazy to check if just adding the program to the list of exclusions would stop it being flagged though ^^;

I suppose I should point this out.

From what my antivirus reported, TexMod was just doing what it's supposed to do when it got itself flagged.

I'm currently using nod32, but I haven't had an actual virus in the past 5 years.
Nor have I ever been 'hacked' at all.

In my case, texmod nor GW were even running. That seems a bit questionable, if you ask me.

Most definitely =P

I rarely use TexMod anyway, so if it did start acting out of the ordinary I wouldn't hesitate to get rid of it.

Still no real anwser xD.
Well, I don't think there's a virus, deleted & installed last one off wiki again.
But no way of excluding this file out of panda?
Can't seem to find a way
