Titles

Why do they need the (1)? It is not important. They should also center under the name, as is they seem like an after thought, that took 10 mins to add. Many would prefer they show as a descriptive title, and use any title they have achieved. Not only the current highest one.

Katsumi says: Complaining about the name of a title isn't a suggestion. So I've edited that out. Should keep the trolls away too.

Not being centered if fine tbh, I prefer it that way; not that I'd realy care if it was changed.

About the Max titles title you can get to about R5 before you need to do the stupid/grindy ones (sugar and stuff).

The amount of work, grind etc is not important. if yyou want the title you have to put in the work. I just think some of the titles are the result of someone at GW being in a really bad mood and saying "Ok fine here's some titles noob, now shut the ... up.."

While we're at it, the thought occurs, they are not titles so much as they are rankings. Titles would not have the numbers.

The number after the title name shows the rank of the title. The benefit of this is it's a quick reference for others to see how far up the "ladder" they are on a particular title track. It's MUCH easier than having to know that a "Slayer of Wurms" is a higher rank than "Slayer of Imps" (if i've got 'em mixed up, it proves my point - hehe!) in the Norn title track.

Sounds like a "QQ I can't get such and such title so I'm going to call it lame and those who have it no-life losers" thread.

My warrior is 5 mil kurz from GWAMM, and is almost 4 years old. You wouldn't know that unless I told you, so you'd think I ground out that title in a year or less according to your negative attitude. Save the "no-life loser" comments to those who have GWAMM characters less than a year old..which you can't determine anyway because you're not on their account...so it's a moot point.

To keep it short: titles are there to add longevity and replayability. It gives casual veterans something to come back to.

i agree with A11Eur0
I have been along since the betas in 2004 and the titles gives me something to get back to i'm also close to GWAMM and i guess i could reach it in 1 week if i really wanted to but i put in a few hours every week and i'm happy with that and eventually i will get there.
But this is so different from players to players, there are many casual players, with just a few hours per week and then you have the once that are able to squeeze in 5-6h per day if not more ? Just enjoy the game in your way and care less about others :-)

If you're so keen on people having no lives in this game, perhaps you should take a look at your forum join date, troll.

No life says the guy who is on a gaming forum worrying about his title being centered and displaying a certain rank.

Well if anyone here bothered to read, I simply said the "TITLES" are lame, not the pursuit. They must have been thought up in about 30 seconds flat, and have no imagination at all. GW is a very polished game in most areas, the titles, well FAIL!

This should make you all smile and stop the flaming..

Personally i think titles are dumb especially if they dont have a special affect u get after maxing it.

and i think rep points should be increased like in nf. And i think that if u have the title on you should get the rep point hunt blessing

just think about how e-z it would be to just press u and check your asura title for a blessing instead of running around to the shrines. And they made it easy to get sunspear titles up why not let eton rep points up. And you cant say because of skills since CoP is currently dominating everything.

An effect for maxing a title? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you mean like an emote or some other flashy way of showing off your title... yeah whatever, don't care.

An effect as in make you more powerful, increase the power of skills, give some other enhancing buff (like eotn/nf rep skills)... RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO no, the game is easy enough as it is, op crap being tied to title grind is just SO UN-GuildWars I have no idea why they ever added.

As for the original post, titles aligned to the left works for me, I think I'd prefer it as it is now, as opposed to being centered. Numbering your rank in a title track's progression shows clearly how far you've progressed without people having to look it up on the wiki, or more likely bug you endlessly in game with stupid questions... so I'm fine with that too.

Who gives a crap about an emote, i wasnt referring to eton rep titles. I meant effects like how the Treasure hunter title boosts chances to retain a lockpick.
And that red engine gored ish is mad stupid

Like for instance sweet tooth title could give u a small speed boost when u have it on something simple like that
