Swapping names around on same account?

Swapping names around on same account?

About the name changes I hope someone can answer this question I have before I ask Support and take up there time.
If you had 2 Names/Toons on the "same" account that you wanted to keep but just wanted to Swap the names around
is that possible without deleting one?
One is an old toon 37mts my very first toon and I learned how to play GW with.
other toon is 14 mts old but has actually finished all campaigns etc and I play more than the first.

Only way I can think is to purchase 3 renames from the ingame store name 1 char something dumb, go to char2 put char1 old name there and go back to char1 and put char2 name there.

Reading the rules you can only rename a toon once every 30 days.
So maybe my only option is
Buy a name change change 1st name to something silly
make a new toon with the old name wait 30 days
buy a name change change 2nd name to something silly
make a new toon with the old name wait 30 days
delete both new toons after the 30 days
Buy 2 more name changes and swap them that way.
O.o sounds complicated just to swap names around. lol

Aren't you making it more complicated? 3 name changes are required, 1 of your characters will have to wait for 30 days to recieve the final name change.
First change the name of the character you use the least and change it something random. Secondly use your 2nd name change to change your other character to the first (the guy you already renameds) name. 3rdly wait 30 days to rename the first guys name to his final name.

A good advice: Make a PvP guy with the name so it's reserved.

makes sense. I did something similar by giving my warrior my elementalists name and giving my ele a different name (along with a sex change). Now I get my main with my favourite name on my account. It's costly, so it's worth careful consideration if it's worth spending the money to keep those 2 exact names.

Gneppe's way would require 4 changes. it should only require 3:
rename CharA, to CharX.
Rename CharB to Char A.
After 30 days rename CharX to CharB.

I believe names are reserved for a while although I'm not sure how long. All I know is a friend tried creating a char using the old name I had and couldn't, and using that name in friends list still adds me despite not having the name anymore.

Only 24 hours. So in this case that leaves 29 days for someone to run off with your name. Better make a spare toon with the name just to be sure (and delete it once you can change the name again).
