with my bad lucky at getting good nicholas gifts i used my first 5 gold coins to unlock the spider. sorry lol but not shelling out those huge bucks people want for one. but now i am up to my 8th gold coin. and if i had played the pvp ones or even gotten those dungeon boss bounties run i would have my 20 slot by now.. but like someone said old grind missions is still old mission.>> or something like that.

Simple ZQuest...
The ones giving 50 Coins are the beginner area missions. Which take at least 20 minutes in most cases, and less in a few.
Other that may take less time are only normal boss bounties. But those give 35.

If they were upgradable there won't be the trouble of choosing one, since you could upgrade later.

Upgradable bags would be very lame, it works perfectly fine as it is now. There's NO problem of choosing one now, price differences make it an obvious choice - go for the smallest one in reach first to get a major boost in storage space. Getting a few smaller instead of one bigger is the obvious choice unless you already got a bunch of them. Going that way you will also never lose value, the replaced lesser bags can just get passed down to less played characters or mules, effectively gaining you much MORE NEW storage than upgrading one bag would. Or just sell them to players, there will always be buyers, as long as there's no major change in ZCoins payout, even the Light packs will continue to sell well on the secondary market. Upgradable bags would kill all that.

And that's why upgradable bags would be perfect.
Pick the one you can with what you have now, you may upgrade it later.

Some players only care for market opportunities. Upgradable bags would kill that market.

Market players don't like changes that will make the other players more self relying. How could they make a profit from buying a heavy equipment bag from someone and then selling it for 5 more ectos 2 minutes later?

At the OP:

It's nice to finally have an advantage by having multiple characters. I can just do the fast ones! 1 heavy bag in around 15 or so days. 2nd heavy bag wont take long

Well, there are plenty of other items to sell.

And nothing would stop those that don't like or don't have time to make the ZQuests from buying the upgrade items instead the bags.

The difference would be that instead selling one Heavy bag for an insane price, you'll sell several runes for crazy prices.

Those that want to get the stuff by themselves can do so sowly size per size, those that don't want to wait can farm to pay them, those that sell the stuff will sell it anyways, and everyone is happy...

...provided they reduce the prices too, of course. A bag is meant to be used, not to be shown, and thus should not have the price of a huge prestige animal companion that is unlocked once per account.

Unfortunately I don't agree with this one. People who actually will do the Z Quest consistently will have to shell out 3 slots for the coins, and alot of people started to keep a full set of books again now that they have a reason to repeat HM, which means another 5+ slot or so. Now add all the Nicholas items and all the new consumables and most people actually have less storage while getting the bigger bags than if they just don't bother with the new stuff at all, it would be better if the bags can be upgraded stepwise.

Not only that, that would be case without upgrades too, but with upgrades, one could also work on lowend bags themselves and buy highend upgrade, or buy lowend bag and then slowly work to get upgrades.

Just because an item has utilitarian value doesn't mean it can't be a prestige item. The heavy bag does not give anyone an advantage so its perfectly fine to be classified as prestige.

I just got my first large bag today. finally. *sigh* I'll go for 15 slot bags on most of my characters, some will get 10 slot bags, and after that I'll save up for 20 slot bags, and hand over the 15's to the ones with the 10's, who will pass those on to mules.

Actually, the more items you can bring, the more gold you can get.

Im saving my hard earned silvers for the heavy, I know large is a little more economical, but on my main I want the best! Plus it will spurr me on to getting all the +AR shields that I really should have if I want to do any serious PvP.
