Mother of books?
mr monk rupsie
Just a suggestion to make some room for storage:
Its like this: you now have these kinds of books:
- prophecies normal mode
- prohecies hard mode
- factions normal mode
- factions hard mode
- nightfall normal mode
- nightfall hard mode
- eye of the north normal mode
- eye of the north hard mode
- Mox, nox book
This takes a lot of storage if 1 person have to carrie these around (yes you can delete them if you dont play those chapters but lets keep that out of the argument).
Why not getting a big book so all the "smaller books" will go in the big book (stacking). And when you have completed a "chapter" aka: nightfall campagn or something else. You can give that to the person, creature for xp + gold.
Here you can have 8 slots in 1 slot...
Also if later on will come additional PvE updates like sorrow-furnace you can travel through that book to the new content (another suggestion).
Ok talk away.

First off, this:
You can't say something is broken because you ignore the solution. Book storage has been suggested for a long time, however I found that the system of being able to buy chapters you missed solved a lot of the problems.

The One Big Book proposal is a valid one, I think. Are you listening, ANet/NCSoft?

Don't forget
Zho's Journal
Turai's Story
Gwen's Story
Saul's Story
Togo's Story
And how do you want them to be completed then =S

I'll just chip in again to mention that with purchasable storage its far from Anets interest to give us more for free as well.

ps - you should only be carrying 1 book at a time for w/e mission/quest your doing. unless of course you have too many characters for room in the storage, then id suggest making a mule.(its grindwars so i only have one character) or i suggest finishing the books one at a time and dont collect all of them at once.

If you want to get the Black Moa Chick, you have to buy an incubator box. You then place up to 6 different items in that box. The items disappear from your inventory.
You could do the same thing with books. Get the players to buy a book case that you can open and close. It takes up one inventory slot and you can drag all your books into the book case, freeing up the inventory slots previously occupied by the books. When you click on the NPC he can detect which books you have in your book case, just as he now detects which books you have in your inventory. You trade in a book for points and the book disappears from the book case. Ready to drag a new book into the book case.
The only thing is that you also need to be able to drag books out of the book case, if you want to swap books in order to do the same mission over and over again (and swap them with books in the Xunlai Chest).
You don't really need to keep Zho's journal on you by the way - just once to buy the incubator kit.

lol, consolidating book storage will eliminate the need for people to need more storage, and therefore eliminate the desire for people to buy the new storage tabs. ;-)

From what I've heard (correct me if I'm wrong here), an ANet representative stated that a "book-case" will not be implemented, as it was hard/impossible to make in the current item system (it would create another stacked level of arrays to store serverside data, which for some reason or other was bad).

The Moa chick incubator is a good example of what CAN BE DONE.
Don't you remember the 'official reason' for us not to have parties with 7 heroes was 'the interface will be too messy'. In the end they accepted that the 3 heroes limit is just to encourage people to form teams.
