Here is a bit about us and why we are recruiting:
The "Legion of the Phoenix" [LP] Alliance is led by two guilds that have been together for nearly three years. The Last Platoon [LP] and Serene Ambassadors of Guidance to Enlightenment [Sage]. Both are predominantly PvE-based guilds, though we do have a number of members who play in PvP as well. We have a lot of title hunters and players who have been with the game a long time. Both of our guilds lean towards the older and more mature crowd (majority of our members over 20 years old). Simply put, we are playing Guild Wars as means of entertainment and to take a break from work and/or school so we strive for a low pressure and drama-free environment.
What we are looking for: mature players in guilds with a commitment to GW and plans to carry over their communities and friendships into GW2. With the long wait for GW2 to come out, some of our other guilds have lost interest in the game entirely. LP and Sage (the active guilds remaining) have absorbed some smaller guilds and have made the decision to focus on a rebirth of sorts to liven things up and increase membership and interest as an alliance. So we have made some forum changes, changed the alliance name to Legion of the Phoenix (signifying our rebirth as an alliance), and set in motion several things to help catch your interest as a guild seeking an alliance. We are here to stay!
"Okay, so what does this "Legion of the Phoenix" Alliance have to offer for my guild?" you might ask.
For starters, as often as our real lives let us, we host parties and holiday get-togethers and of course always host a 24-hour district for Canthan New Years. We also team up together to help each other with titles (vanquishing, missions, etc.) and enjoy elite mission outings together. There is also a calendar for planning alliance events and outings on our forum. We welcome many differant play styles, whether you're into PvE, PvP, prefer doing things solo or prefer to go with groups. We host a 35 person Ventrilo server for our alliance friends to keep in touch (plenty to handle several outings at once). We do not require any FFF or other alliance-based obligations other than to be mature and not start a bunch of drama (and chances are... if your reading this... your trying to get away from all that anyway)
Most of our members are on evenings and weekends in North American time zones, though we do have a few members overseas and a few more with late night log-in times. Also, for those guilds that would like a private section on our forum for guild-only related topics, our forum can host 2 private sections just for your guild (one for all of your guild members, and one just for your officers and GL).
