EotN Faction Points

Okay, so me and my friends are arguing about this.

They keep telling me you can talk to any storyteller and as long as it's your first hero's handbook with that character, and it is 1/2 filled+, the storyteller will ask if you would like to pay to fill the rest of the story out and will give you full faction points (20,000).

That's true if you've done the quests but didn't have the book in your inventory at the time.

So you can get the 20k faction still? And if so, how can I do so?

There is no way around not having to finish all of the quests. Your friend is mistaken... you must do the quests for the full points but if you did not have the hero handbook in your inventory THEN you can pay to fill it out.

For EACH book you need to have EACH quest done once. You can only fill the book for 100g, if you have done the quest without having a book in your inventory. So as far as I concern your friend is wrong. Otherwise grinding those titles would be too easy anyways

Just to clarify what Crucist said, you cannot fill multiple books from doing the quest only once. 1 quest = 1 book.

Problem: I completed EotN, but forgot to have my Hero's handbook with me for several of the Primary quests. Just today I learned that I can go back and get the pages added to my Hero's handbook for 100g. I went to the storytellers, and they don't give me the option to add the pages for 100g. I am not Rank 8 in ANY of the EotN titles.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

The option to pay for pages to be filled in isn't very obvious. It's been a while, but if I recall correctly you have to ask them about "Written Evidence?", then tell them to "Take a look at my book." They should then give you the option to pay for pages to be filled in.

It's not common now given the time frame, but if you completed some of the primary quests before the handbooks were introduced (for example, did Curse of the Nornbear during the preview weekend) you won't get credit for those quests. (Again, off the top of my head, details are fuzzy)
