Online Store

Let's say I want to buy a makeover pack, but don't own a credit card. I do have a.. debit card (I think) but it can't be used to purchase online. I've been to the bank thinking I could use one of those Visa pre-paid gift cards, but the lady there said no-no. So, is there a way to purchase anything from the store without a credit card?

Go to the NCSoft store -- I believe you can use PayPal (and a few other methods of payment) for that, and the makeover pack is listed. https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/Store.pl

Added: Something to note, if you haven't created an NCSoft account before this, you'll need to do so. It's not the same as a game account. Also note that the free Xunlai storage pane is still available from the same place.

Same here, but my debit card has a Visa logo (like you mentioned). I'm guessing the OP's debit card does not.

I dont have a credit card or other cards u can use for payment in the online store. so yeh I kinda think it su**s.. I wanted the bonus mission pack and the millenium edition =D i do understand that small things like storage upgrades cant be sold in real shops. but i want a bonus mission pack =( maybe i get one of those "cards" later..

Yeah, my debit card doesn't have a Visa logo. And I'm not planning on getting one since I don't use it very often. I'll check the NCsoft site tho. Thanks

Edit: I just checked the NCsoft store, and it offers payment via Visa, MasterCard and Am. Express cards. Meh..

i don't have a visa card either, i used paysafe cards (www.paysafe.com i think it was)

It also accepts PayPal -- is this not an option for you? (Some regions can't use PayPal, so this is an honest question, not snark)

You can get pre paid credit cards from places other than banks. Go to Walmart or something, they usually have them at the check out lines.

In the Netherlands probably everyone over 10 has a debit card. It comes standard with your bank account. It's credit card use that is low in the Netherlands.

However, you can also link your bank account to PayPal if you don't have a credit card. This way, your PayPal account sort of acts like a debit card. This is how I paid for my purchases at the ncsoft webstore. Maybe you can try that if it's available where you live.

oh ,if u dont have a credit card,u also can use the paypal to pay.it is also very convenient.some of my friends all use this way to buy on tthe internet.u can try it.

Try it again with PayPal, if you have no concerns setting up an account.

This is probably the long way to go about it, but just tried it and the option does come up.

Log in to GW, go to the Online Store. In the panel (right hand side) that has the "Add to cart" button, just above it is the option to pay with PayPal - click on the link to the NC store. Click the "Buy Now" tab for whatever you want, will take you to the screen to log in your NCsoft account (or create one, if not have one already - remember, as already mentioned, it is a separate account to your GW account).

Next screen may ask you to select or link your GW account - just follow the prompts.

Once you've done that, next screen gives you the payment options of either a credit card or Paypal. Click on Paypal and away you go! (Next screen does give you the option to create a Paypal account).

Sorry if I've just been stating the obvious here, not sure what steps you have/haven't tried. If you follow the above and still don't have the option for Paypal, maybe contact NCsoft? (Or maybe there are restrictions with Paypal? I have no idea there, not ever used it).

Where do you live that there aren't any Walmarts? They would build a Walmart next to a campground in the middle of no where if they could get a building license.

I have tried it, and although it says clearly in the game, if you want to use PayPal etc. go to the NCsoft store, but there isn't a paypal option for me. Anyway, a friend of mine has a usable debit card so I'll try using his.
