LDoA, whose done it?
I know what to do. Im looking for people who have done it and can tell me how long it took? How boring it was? Was it worth the effort?
I started a new pre character and it wasn't on my mind but I saw people talking about it and thought I might have a crack.
So, experiences please.

I am currently lv 18 and 80% with my war. I am also ...old. By this I mean that I can remember my COM 64 with a TAPE Drive! I used to download overnight and play the games the next day.
SO LDoA is a lot like that. Just before you do it, LOG OUT. Then log back in and set up the DL. Takes about 15 minutes to pull the 3 groups - longer if you want more. 5 groups are nice but makes it harder to kill them.
MY advice is to follow the guide at www.presearing.com
It is no biggie to get just takes a long time. Now that the HALL OF MONUMENTS is account based. You can get 2 LDoA's. One for the hall and the other for a prema-pre.
I have over 80,000 Deaths so far.

There's an entire community(albeit rather small) that is dedicated to only Pre-Searing. Imnot was right, Presearing.com is an amazing website that's full of guides. I'd also suggest Permapre.com, set up by a guildie.
As for LDoA It's actually one of the easiest titles in the games.
A) It's free, nothing to buy in game.
B) It's done almost entirely afk, simply pull the groups and wait then come back and kill them off.
C) To be one of the few who has the title is a very rewarding feeling. I've got one myself.
All in all even if you end up Searing the character still having one of the least common titles in game is pretty neat.

if you have 2 accounts, is it possible to get LDoA then go post and get legendary survivor?
the thought would be as follows, acct 1 + acct 2 party together, acct 2 stays as far away as possible whilst acct 1 rounds up the charr and death levels them, then once they hit lvl 20, acct 1 leaves the game and acct 2 kills the charr (without dying) then rinse and repeat
or use smaller groups rather than all 3 charr groups so you actually have a chance to survive
just a thought, putting it out there for ppl to rip to pieces

There is absolutely no viable way of getting both LDoA and Legendary Survivor on the same character. People have tried everything.
There is a rumor, though, that a long time ago someone used the GH exploit to get monk tome in pre. He learned a hard res to make someone else do the deathlevelling and tried to go for the survivor title at the same time. But as the rumor goes, this person died to a disconnect at level 18 or something.
As for me, I used two accounts (One level 13) for deathlevelling so the sessions were considerably faster. Took me one full month, somewhere around 340 hours to get LDoA from character creation. And yes, I went post the moment I got that title. I hope I never see presearing again.

As for the bolded part, I doubt that. It wouldn't surprise me if a year from now, someone gets both and simply laughs for having found an exploit.

Some guy did it back in the day. If you did a pre searing quest and had full inventory you could repeatedly get reward. You could also do it with the round up the piggies stuff. Someone showed a picture before of having both ldoa and legendary survivor. As far as we know now, it is impossible. But who knows what people will think of next.

Well supposedly there is a way to get both the survivor title and LDoA. IT has something to do with messing around with your firewall to disconnect you during the zone in and leaving your name grayed out. Then have the second account deathlevel the chars. Once they are deathleveled. You fix the connection, once your in the other person leaves map and you kill the chars. Rinse and repeat. I *think* the method has been proven to work but I'm not sure if its been actually done.

I've just started since a few days. After 3 nights already have a DC and the other time my computer crashed (it has something to do with minimzing GW, better not do it while going AFK). And the first time, I only got exp from 3 foes, because I was too reckless with Sever Artery and all the rest died while Bleeding, while I was ressing..But from now on it should go ok .
If already done all the quests, so it'll take a little longer, but it looks like GW2 is still far away, so more than enough time for me to get it. At first I wasn't going for LDoA with the character, but now there's almost nothing else left for me to do in GW, so...

Today I recently started an LDOA character myself. I did this because I finally got GWAMM and saw very little left to do in GW. I find it ironic that after doing everything across all campaigns and eotn in NM and HM, cartography, etc... and all that to hit GWAMM, I'm now getting more enjoyment out of being in Pre again with my ele.
