Hello Guys,
I just bought a new laptop to play Guild Wars on after my old one crashed. It's a HP dv4-1365dx. I downloaded Guild Wars and everything came up fine. Except for one thing. The download screen that pops up after I select my character moves snail slow! I left it up for two hours and only half of the files were extracted. Has this ever happened to anyone before. I really need some help. I updated my BIOS and made an exception for GW.exe to make it through the firewall. And still files get extracted at 14kbs!!
Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family

Any suggestions? I have yet played my Guild Wars since buying this computer 3 days ago.
Help!!!!! My game loads very slow!!!

You are redownloading the entire game, and most likely trying to zone into a large zone (like Lions Arch, Great Temple of Balthazar)
You will want to use the -image and let it download for 24 hrs straight to rebuild the gw.dat file. Once it has finished, zones will load like normal.

Thanks, but uhhhh... How do I do that when all I am given is the pc client on the website?

Should I just let the location download screen continue on instead of trying to restart it?

this will take the game to the downloading files screen (before it ever asks you to log in) and just download the entire game. Large file.
