Optimization for Vista users on low RAM?

I'm running a pretty shite laptop setup right now - and I'm wondering if anyone has client side (ofc) .cfg tweaks that can enhance my playability even though I'm on Vista with only 1GB RAM. I don't have the option of downgrading to XP and I don't have the option of upgrading to another stick of RAM for 2GB.

If anyone has any cfg tweaks or really anything to help me it would be much appreciated.

I dont think theres any real .cfg tweaks for gw sadly.
Only real way to improve what you have is to possibly use low settings for graffics and have a low screen res - this may improve the game but not by much.Have a play with the graffics settings and if they dont work just use the reset to default setting to set them bk

I don't know if it will help but try making vista have the Classic windows appearance with the oldschool grey windows and whatnot. you know, to ease up the graphic usage a bit.

Unfortunately vista takes a crapload of RAM to run, thats Why I vowed to get at LEAST 3gb.

if you want to tweak away to your hearts content and have some previous exp. with such things.. check out this guide - it was very helpful to me in the past.

Also, if you just have 1 GB then your system would likely benefit from a Ready Boost capable Flash Drive. you can get one for around $15.00 if you shop around.

uses less ram then vista. Works better. Just make sure you hang onto your vista disks for when the beta test dies on march 2010.

Also, make sure Aero is disabled on vista.

Windows Classic theme may help some. Your best bet is just buying some more RAM and tossing it in.
