I wish there were a way to toggle tonics/public events

Don't get me wrong, I like tonics, I use them extremely rarely but they can be fun, but they just seem so out of hand lately. It was tolerable enough back when it was just holiday tonics, but now that we get monthly tonics and all other kinds of tonics from other events things get a little hectic. As fun as they can be, I personally like the atmosphere of Guild Wars, and it kinda ruins that atmosphere when you see Abyssals, Norn, Yeti, Bone Dragons, and whatever else all running around your towns in a giant cluster****.

To be fair, I know the game itself is exhausted and there's almost nothing left to do unless you're a new player, but I'd still enjoy the ability to toggle seeing tonics and other events on an off. I can't even sit at an abandoned mission outpost without somebody running in and lighting off a crate of fireworks =/

/signed he did say TOGGLE. so you wouldn't HAVE to turn YOURS off. it would just allow people who don't want to see it to toggle it off. Tho i love seeing the stuff i agree there are people out there who don't want to see it and the function shouldn't be that difficult.

Like OP said, it was fun when it was just a few elves and candy corns dancing in LA after the holidays, but now there's a tonic for everything and every outpost looks and sounds like Tyria's Most Wanted. I don't wanna ruin anyone else's fun, and I tend to pound down tonics as I zone because I realized I had over a hundred cluttering up my party panel, but sometimes I want to sit someplace and drink/chat without having to shut off the speakers because there's a dying yeti being chased by hellhounds, and then someone gets a lucky dragon potion and can't shut up about it.

They shut down the noise minipets were making; I'm sure they can do something about this.

/signed, but only for a toggle. What's the fun if you can only use them in the guild hall or something?
