Vanquishing Cantha is about the easiest area out of all of them, at least in my experience. The forest mobs can get to be a bit much, but it's still not anything you can't steamroll over. Have never done the speed clears, just did them the normal way when going for the title.

It's not as bad as it sounds once it gets going. I've got some guildies who still need Canthan Vanquisher titles, so whenever they're in the forest I just whip out a random guy that compliments said guildie and run along with them. It gets boring just bringing my mesmer to vanquish somewhere for the sixth time...
Plus, even though I'll be doing DTSC this weekend for überfaction, vanquishes are usually entertaining enough that it doesn't feel like grind when it's a character you don't usually play in HM. I don't think I'll hit that secondary goal, and I won't be crying if I don't, but it keeps me entertained on my path to complete loserdom.

And common sense would say that only the rewards you get at the moment you vanquish the area (experience, gold and faction points) are doubled. Asking for double EOTN mastery points is just stupid. Asking if you get double points per kill is also stupid because that's not "vanquishing", until they're all dead.

It looks like people are still confused about what "title points" includes. This means that vanquishing an area that gives points to a certain title will give you double those points. That would include Sunspear, Lightbringer, Asura, Vanguard, Norn, Kurzick, and Luxon. People are mostly focusing on the faction titles in this thread because many people were working on those titles last weekend as well, and are close to maxing them out.
