Double check before ordering

Finally time to buy some new stuff! So I just thought I'd double check here so I go and do something silly ^^

The high end system in the guide seem to be pretty similar to what I'm planning on buying. I'd like to have some questions answered before I go ahead and order everything.

1. I was planning on getting a gtx295 gpu at first, but it seems like buying 2 gtx260's would be both cheaper and slightly more powerful.
if so I was looking at this card (swedish site but google is win ) and getting 2 of those.
Do I have to get an SLI cable separately? Didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

2. Will a 850w PSU be enough to power those cards and a core i7 920? For now I've no intentions of overclocking any parts.

I'll post the specs for the system

Was also planning on using Windows 7 RC.

Thanks!

The GTX260s are great cards, but at that price I would spend a little more and get the ATI 4890. It overclocks like a beast and can get up to GTX285 stock performance. Or if you want to a save a bit just get the non overclocked GTX260 and overclock the card yourself.
The SLI bridge comes with the motherboard and the Crossfire bridge comes with the videocards.

A 750w could be enough to power this, but the 850 will give you breathing room and some extra power incase you upgrade to more power hungry cards in the future.
Also the modular Corsair 750w and 850w power supplies are out if you are willing to spend the extra cash.

Another thing I would change would be the hard drive and go with a Wester Digital Caviar Black 640GB or 750GB

Also are you going to overclock the 920? If so you are going to have to get an aftermarket cooler. they weren't on that site & idk what other site you can use, so I had to use US sites
Xigmatek Dark Knight
Prolimatech Megahalem
Dark Knight has the best price to performance and the Megahalem is one of the top coolers atm.

IMO, SLI-ing(as well as crossfiring) any high-end directx 10 cards is kinda a waste of money at this moment with DX11 and its matching compatible cards being not all that far off. But hey, it's your cash.

What monitor and resolution are you going to be using??? Unless you are going to be running higher resolutions on a screen 24" or bigger there is little point in going SLI - not if the same amount of money on 2 GPUs could buy you 1 stud-muffin of a GPU.

Ok, now we've established that the last SLI rig you bought involved VoodooIIs...

I'd look at the GTX 275, even if it is a bastard offspring that nV levered out to directly combat the 4890.
