Currently, if you have three Z-Missions, Bounties, or Combats in your log and you talk with the quest givers, they will tell you that they have three of the respective quest and turn you away. I think it should be changed so that they give you the information for today's challenge, and then upon attempting to accept the challenge, it would tell you if you already have too many quests.
This is to allow people to see what today's quest is without ditching a quest, switching characters, asking other people, etc.

The current set-up IS somewhat annoying... but does that mean the live team should waste their time on it? It's easy enough to type /wiki and have all the info you need right in front of you...

/signed, same as Mithran, I got rid of a boss bounty I could have done and then realized the current one one was wayyyy beyond the character. He's not even in Vabbi yet and the boss is in DoA. My bad for not doing my homework first, but I wouldn't mind being able to quickly check without tabbing to the wiki or asking around.

And on a related note, it'd be great if they could smooth out the pathing in GToB too. I'm constantly getting stuck or doing an eternal zig-zag dance while trying to access the signs from a non-perpendicular angle. And I get stuck at the anatomical engineer when going from the chest to the merchant.

Just commented on a thread exactly like this, but I'll do it again.
You could just go to Wiki's home page and see it there. The biggest issue here is the 3 limit thing. Make the quests/missions/combats unlimited instead of just 3. You could be saving a mission to do with a guild and another to do with a friend but want the new one without losing any. So just remove the cap or at least increase it.

but I would much prefer it if You could just check it in game rather than having to go out of the game.

Why are people moaning about the 3 quest limit? The purpose of the zquest is to give you something to do on that day. The key word here is DAILY. Having the ability to store up to 3 in your log means you can take the quest and then keep it for tomorrow if something comes up.
In other words, it's a daily quest, and Anet is trying to convince you to play more daily quests so you get more rewards. If you ditch a 70 coin quest to find out what the next quest is then it's your fault if you miss out. You should have just done the quest on the day or as soon as you got the opportunity to do it.
If it's just that you want to build up things to do, well you can go and do all of those misisons/quests/pvp zones any time you like. that's the normal game. The reward is meant to be for doing the quest on the day or as close to as when posted.
So my recommendation if you want to keep a quest and find out what the next one is, just use one of your other chars, use the wiki, ask people, or just go about doing your daily quest.
Be glad that you have variety in the rewards and the quests. Some other games have the same quest day in and day out. If you don't want the reward, don't do the daily.
