Pay with NCsoft Game Time Cards
Rizwan
I had this idea which just came to me while reading something. Why can't Anet do something along the lines with what NCsoft did with Exteel. That is to use Game Time cards to buy credits to use in-game. So if they used that method and got something like NcCoins implemented then payments would be much easier.
For Example (Using UK Currency and the first price I see)
1 credit = 1 Pence
30 Day Time Card - £11 = 1100 Credits
60 Day Time Card - £18 = 1800 Credits
Using this will help young players mostly. How many kids want to go up to their parents and ask them to get "Makeover Credits" right in the middle of the credit crunch. £2 a day is a average teenagers lunch money here. Skip 2 weeks and you can get a 60 Day Time Card. Also this may give a small boost to NCSoft's annual income.
Feel free to correct, threaten and even kill me

So you want Anet to provide you with an alternative method of using the in game store since you don't have a credit card? There are already options around, like using a Mastercard Gift Card. I don't see a problem with them adding more options to making payments in the online store, but I also don't see that it is needed.

Critisisms are highly welcomed
BTW Mastercard Gift Cards are hard to find in the UK. I checked :P

I understand your idea, but voted for the 3rd option anyways. It just seems overly complicated and not very intuitive or helpful.
Original, but this would probably not get used.

How many gw players want these little kids to keep playing? Keep it to adults and teens like myself. Most people (many exceptions) simply arent mature enough if they arent atleast 14 yet.

Call some banks, some offer the gift credit cards.
Mr. G
I can see where this could be useful, you can pick up NCsoft cards much easier than you can get gift cards in a lot of countries. Especially those with wierd credit/debit card laws.
Can I just point out your suggesting kids starve themselves for a makeover? :P

Bah I don't see what the big deal is. GW has been around for 3+ years before this makeover stuff happened, if we lived through it then, why not now? Yes it is here now and we can reap the benefits but there should not be so many discussions on lowering the price or making it in game money. We asked for it and here it is... suck it up if you don't like it IMO

NO. and /notsigned.
this is exactly the kind of idea/post that encourages Arena Net to go with micro transaction. NO

Ok, so the point is to help players without access to credit cards buy things in the store? So, said players buy these "time cards" which they can then use for store credit. Well, where do they buy the "time cards," if not from the online store?
Sorry, I just don't quite see how this is supposed to save people from having to use something like a credit card. But I'm not familiar with the example game you listed, so maybe it's just my ignorance.
EDIT - Thanks for the explanation below. Seems like they've already opted against this kind of option in favor of accepting things like gift cards and Paypal (though that also requires a credit card.) Neither the lack of such an option nor the addition of one affects me, so I don't vote for or against.

We can't encourage this behavior to Anet otherwise it will go against the original business model and give them the incentive to ruin "Free to play" as we know it.
Rizwan, you should know better then to get people started on this.
