getting into the game
natpjohnson
Hi, i got guild wars a while back and i messed around with the story a bit. However i recently realized that it was that massive of an mmo. I am heavily invested in WoW but I think i could really get into GW as well. But i'm having trouble getting into the meat of the game really. I don't know answers to basic questions of an mmo ie. market system, dungeons, etc. My main question is: Is there a guide that can get me into the game better? kind of like a guide for GW for WoW players? Any help is really appreciated, thank you.

Everything is in there. If you have any more specific questions Q&A is always here for ya. Not really sure what you mean by "getting in to the game", I suggest finding a good helpful guild though.
EDIT: Fixed the link

Just remember that it will be completely different from WoW. GW is based upon learning which skills are best for your current goal instead of gaining levels to overpower other players.
There are no uber armors or weapons, once you are at max base stat, the rest is just insignias/runes/mods and skins.
Your level will max at 20. Anything before 20 is training. You can respec your character's attribute points and skills in any town or outpost.
You should visit the Campfire section and read the stickied basic thread for the profession of your character.
You should visit the Guilds section and find a guild that can help you through the growing pains.

And you should stay away from the riverside section if you ever want to enjoy GW ^^
