Hi I am not looking for a run, prefer to do this myself.
I thought I'd go insane trying to do Gate of Madness by myself but finally did it last night with h/h and shockingly got Masters too! Woot!
So am wondering if some peeps could tell me what setup worked for them on Abaddons Gate? As in hero setups, which henchies to take etc.
I am a barrage ranger, with pet, but I've not used my pet on the last two missions. Oh my second in Monk.
Any advice would be great, I'm not a professional so please don't shriek at me about how easy this mission is for you etc etc etc, just looking for nice friendly advice, thanks.
Tami

[Screaming Shot] [Burning Arrow] [Poison Tip Signet] [D-shot] [Read the Wind] [Pain Inverter] [Finish Him!] [Rez of choice]
or take Apply Poison instead of RtW and additional attack since you don't need Poison Tip.
Worked for me when I was doing the mission, it's quite stupid that Abbadon can be poisoned, set on fire and can bleed.
Good luck

Last time I completed it I was a necro, but a ranger should have an easier time. People already suggested good builds, but you may take whatever you want just remember that long duration degen is the way to go imo, it keeps working after Abaddon's breaks free.
My team composition was a para with Martyr to counter the crazy daze + "Fall Back!", Barbed spear for bleeding and the rest I don't remember. The two other heroes were monks with Light of Deliverance, you may have to micro it from time to time. E/Mo hero who spams healing spells doesn't work from, maybe there's to much microing but if you can use it properly than take one with Heal Party. Bind it to a key and spam it.
The bottom line is;
1. Take a mass condition removal, preferably Party wide (Martyr, Breath of The Great Dwarf).
2. Take a party wide healing skill which can be spammed, at least to a certain degree (LoD, Heal Party).
3. Take long lasting degen conditions (disease, bleeding and poison).
4. Obviously regular damage is welcome as well.
5. You may take a party speed boost for when Abaddon is released ("Fall Back!", "Charge!", "incoming!").
