Well, first question is what do you want to do with your new computer? What games and programs do you want to run? Next question, what is your budget?

that barebones kit does not have a video card with it; for gaming of any kind, even Guild Wars, you will want more firepower than those onboard graphics will be able to provide.

As far as integrated graphics go, the 6100 series is pretty good. Playable framerates (i.e. >30fps) on anything up to and including Far Cry. For that price, it's pretty damn good - something with an up-to-date PCIe grphics card would cost twice that amount.

Like Elder said, it's all about what you plan on doing with it.

depends on what your doing with the rig if its for higher end games id definately go a better psu and a decent video card but if yiour only doing internet and office and older games id say that would suffice

Pretty much GW, WoW and Pogo games is what i'll be using it for and basic net surfing besides that. Price range is under $500 (The economy sucks!) Hubby says the card we have in my rig now will work....ATI Radion X1050. Soz...shoulda put that stuff in my OP. ^^

you should be ok, but I'd recommend to upgrade to a Radeon 4350:

Will be a massive improvement over your current card, and should run GW like butter!

unfortunately, you've just got massively ripped off. the "econobox" build in my guide fits your budget and will destroy whatever you've bought in every category... and it even has a monitor included in the price (well, it has half the RAM, but you'll almost never need it).

If your Radeon X1050 still satisfies you then, sure, that barebone kit is just fine. Some people don't need a PC orientated towards today's games, especially when OP plays GW, WoW, web games and isn't complaining about his current graphics card.

Moriz, that Econobox is great but I don't know why you'd put a HD 4770 in there when it's near impossible to get.

i didn't know about the supply issue on the 4770 when i wrote that guide. hopefully AMD will fix the issue soon. for the time being, a 4670 will also work.

and let's been honest: the X1050 can barely handle GW and WoW. if the OP just continue to use it, he will notice ZERO performance gain.

um...guys...I'm a girl. Just FYI. It's kinda in the post, you know, the "hubby" part. Thanks for all the input, but in my husband's infinite wisdom, he ordered something completely different than what I posted. Mods plz close.
