"Making Of" Documentary
TotallyEpic
Hey Guys,
Has anyone seen the making of documentary that came with Nightfall Collectors Edition?, I've been trying to track it down for months with no luck.
Is it good?

Best suggestion I can think of is contact ANet support and ask them.

I already emailed them about 2 hours ago, lets hope that I get lucky and they send me a free copy :P
I just want to see it because I'm a software developer, and Guild Wars is one of my most played games, so I just want to see how its made. I enjoy making of documentaries, for games or movies. Infact, I watched the Making Of Halo 2 today :P

Somebody should just reupload it straight from the disc. I know some of you here have it!

EDIT: very cool video imo, doesn't say much about the dev process, but rather the overall product development, Anet's offices and teams, etc.

I have it, and it was pretty interesting. Was interesting to see what Gaile and other people that made Guild Wars really looked like. Nothing really mind blowing though, since it was from a few years ago.

I belive i have it sitting around hidden somewhere. It was quite interesting, if i remember it correctly, it didnt really go into details of how they made it, just how they got some ideas and what some of staffs favourite prof is and why, showed a few seconds of someone creating the rollerbeatle enemies from Vabbi (Rainbeatles?)

there is a neat little clip in there of one of the designers making the invisible walls and how they were doing it..
in fact, since there was no jump capability, it could be done very similar to that (and maybe was) by flagging the part of the terrain that was painted as impassable, instead of making an actual 3d wall. basically terrain painting - you can read about a few people implementing it in Torque over at the GarageGames forums.
the clip, btw, was real short and had a designer with a red (maybe pink - been a while) fat line around the edge of the passable area that he/she was moving around...

I have it, it was interesting but not mind blowing, as said. But it did make me want to work at Anet as a writer even more.
We need a "Guild Wars in the Making - Live Team version" or something to see how active they are. :P
