well, im using the same game that my dad used in 2005 when he first bought the guild wars game. And i am trying to create an account, but it says that i cant because the key number has already been used.

Once the number on the key card has been "attached" to an account, you no longer use it, but instead use the account that was created. Simply get the information from your dad about his account (email and password) and you'll be able to play on it!

If your father doesn't remember his login information, he will need to contact Support and provide them with as much proof of ownership as possible, which might require scans of access key paper etc.
