I am 90% done a mini-Chibi-Gwen, its about 6 inches tall. Cant decide if I should do the eyes like the larger one or maybe like the Spock. I'm having too much fun making these...

OOOOOoooooo those dolls are so cute!!
You do Yakkingtons by any chance?
03 Jul 2009 at 23:11 - 18
3" and 9" Gwens just to see how they would turn out. (Camera angle makes the sizes look so off.) I ended up making the bodies bigger than ingame proportions and the planned 6" doll turned into 9". Smaller things are so much harder for me to do... I cut some corners on the 9" so don't like it quite as much as the larger one. Smaller one is made of Crayola Model Magic.
And I am starting on a Yakkington this week. It won't be an exact replica of ingame, going to have to take some artistic license with it.

Haha that thing is so adorable! Great job.
As for Spock on the other hand.....eh?...........umm... err.....mouthless

ZOMFFFFG, I think you've just made me worship you. Yea, I'm sure of it.

While searching for Yakkington fabric I found this stuff just perfect for a Black Moa Chick. It's so soft!!! I wish I could find something better for the legs, like a corduroy or something but its hard to find anything in the colors I want. But its a plushie not a model, so leeway is allowed.

Waah that black moa chick is just too cute I want one
11 Jul 2009 at 13:02 - 24
I almost cryed when i saw your Gwen-doll, please, can i buy one irl?
11 Jul 2009 at 13:41 - 25
That moa is adorable!!
WANT *grabby hands*
15 Jul 2009 at 17:08 - 26
Yakkington v1.0 is done. I ended up making the body with polar fleece. No full equipment pack on this one, it is a test Yak. Its approx. 12" from floor to top of the hump and about 12" long. A v2.0 might come about later in shaggy fur fabric (the stuff I want is $20 a yard, not exactly practice material.)
Those interested in me making plushies for them, pm me and we'll see what we can work out. Just remember these are handmade, take hours of my time, and I can not accept payments in ecto or plats.

I LOVE the Yakkington ^^ good job!
Maybe Anet merchandise can produce them en mass?
The Moa Bird video is adorable too! Chocobo theme fits right in ^^

great job btw on the other ones

Absolutely amazing....
if it wasn't illegal to try and buy and pay with RL money.... I would
gogo start a shop or something
17 Jul 2009 at 21:51 - 31
It would be illegal to pay with ingame currency and would be ban worthy. Besides, the fabric shops won't accept my ectos.
From what I can tell, me making and selling plushies could be defended under good faith fair use. People pay me for the materials used and for my time, not as a retail product (no shop, doing this for the fun and as a compensated favor so others can have squeezable moas/yaks/etc.) Though the plushies are in reference to the in-game miniatures the patterns used for making the plushies are my creation. If ANet asks me to stop I will (I sent an email but received no reply yet) but I hope that they will allow a fan creation with very limited production. Support cottage industry and help me save up for GW2 CE!

ADORABLE! very well done KiyaKoreena!

18 Jul 2009 at 06:39 - 34
Those are so cool, Kiya! Nice work.
21 Jul 2009 at 15:23 - 35
You could totally sell these irl if you accept real money for them. Seems to have plenty of interest, myself included (Yakkington is too cuddly not to want!)
21 Jul 2009 at 17:06 - 36
Thank you for all the compliments! I hope everyone is entering the GWG contest to win a black moa chick or a Gwen-chan! Just a few days left.
Oh, I found some material in the corner of my sewing room suitable for a small Kveldulf so I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the weekend. If the shedding doesn't make me lose my temper from inhaling stray fur.
I really want to make a white moa chick, but my husband says no more moas unless I sell one of the black moa chicks.
21 Jul 2009 at 23:17 - 37
Love the chick and the Yakkington! And after watching the black moa dancing video, I suddenly got an urge to petition ANet for a "Black Moa Chick ridden by Gwen"-minipet xD

Your creations are fabulous. My son and I came up with an entry for the Gwen part of the contest. Of course if we won we'd have to fight over...I mean share her. You should consider selling these.
22 Jul 2009 at 15:18 - 40
I don't have the creativity to win the contest ;_; how much would you be selling the moa chicks for? + +
