I can easily take down all of his minions but the boss himself is a pain in the arse. Even on NM I can't take him down! Anyone have a suggestion on how I can defeat that guy with H/H?

EDIT: I got him! Thanks for helping me with this ^^

When I did it, I had one hero with Spoil Victor and a N/Mo with minions and Prot Spirit (a Sabway Nec).

There's a little gap by the stairs to Duncan's platform that you can hide the SV hero in where the spirits can't attack because the line of sight is broken. From there, micro your hero to use Prot Spirit on the SV and force the SV to cast on Duncan. His health will go down and down (albeit slowly) and you can finish him off with some degen and "Finish Him!" or something along those lines.

Just make sure the rest of your H/H are outside of Duncan's casting range.

This might be a stupid question because I've never done Duncan but wouldn't Pain Inverter help?

Make yourself a /A and get [swap] -- move the spirits away and then proced to kill Duncan.

While I agree that's a nice trick for dealing with Duncan, read the OP - he's asking about "the boss himself." The Swap trick doesn't help with what he's asking. Even after you move the spirits away, you still have to be able to kill him.

Doesn't Duncan's defense work on lifestealing?

I don't believe it does. However, Spoil Victor is life loss rather than damage or life stealing so it bypasses Duncan's Defense.

I killed Duncan with a friend and 6 heroes. We used a Necro hero to do the killing. Necro is the best bet to kill him. 2 skills make it quite easy, just a little long. Then you make sure all other players/heroes are out of aggo and you only need to keep the one Necro alive. With Protective Spirit and some healing, it isn't hard to keep 1 player/hero alive. Spoil Victor works well as Duncan has a large health to make it do the damage for quite some time. But most people also take Signet of Sorrow as well. To use this, just send one person in to die at Duncan's feet and spam it while SV does its job. Even a hero can be flagged to die at his feet for SoS to work.
