PvE Z-Missions repeating before being depleted?
4thVariety
Ever since the Z-Quests had their hiccup and updated an additional time during patch day, we are getting missions that have been there before, although there are plenty of missions that had not been selected before.
Did the servers loose track of what has been done before and put those missions back into a random rotation? Have the missions simply been depleted and we get random reruns now? What's your take?

well since we've so far had repeats and not a mixture of new ones, i'm thinking there's a rough schedule and that's just been reset with the update *Shrug* i'm just guessing though and i'm a tech noob ^.^

I think this happened due to the fact they put urgoz as the bounty then quickly took it off and replaced it with an older bounty.
Maybe they'll fix it soon

Not sure if there is a problem, or what it is if there is one, but I don't like it. I had hoped all missions would be covered before being repeated. With the insanely large number of bosses available for the bounty, I don't see why they should be repeated already. I believe it is a bug in the system, as the update changing the z-bounties was not noted, and not expected.
I don't expect Anet to tell us what happened either

Found this in the Game Bugs Forum:
We're aware of this and looking into it.

I don't see whats wrong with some of the missins repeating?

We are definitely more than halfway, I'd guess around 3/4.

Having one mission a day where there are actually a bunch of people playing it is making it alot easier to get legendary guardian. No more having to annoy my guildies/alliance for help. Atleast, that's why I care. Most people who want it already have said title though.

It's not only the missions that are repeating, the bounties are the same as well. I don't check the pvp ones as i am not "elite" enough lol
aoeclald
It is a bug as mentioned before, and shouldn't be happening.

Luckily I can't see anyone profiting off of this bug except for the fact they got two z quest changes in one day, and I don't think thats big enough gain in copper z coins to be worried too much.
Granted I'm a bit sad no new missions are up yet, but im glad this wasn't a 'omg I can profit off of this a lot im going to exploit it!' bug.

Considering we need something like 125,000 copper coins total to get 50 gold coins, I welcome repeats. Those elite missions/dungeons are so freaking hard and trying to do them in hardmode. lol. Most of us can't even hope to win those zquests, so we dont even take them.
Disclaimer: My math might be off as I didn't really work it out and its the weekend so I'm so far from sober I'm suprised I'm not talking to my computer.

I don't welcome the repeats, I was going for legendary guardian, but it'll take longer now .

It's Linsey's fault :P

Because doing a mission in HM with lots of people is impossible? Well, maybe not impossible, but certainly very difficult most of the time for most of the missions, yes. And going for legendary guardian one mission a day while also earning a nice zaishencoin bonus is a great way to do it. I don't feel like spending a lot of time getting a party to do a difficult HM mission when chances are that that mission will be the z-mission the next day and there will be 3 or more districts full of people wanting to do HM.

As Linsey's post said on the Wiki, they accidentally reshuffled the zquests.
There are 25 tyrian missions, 13 factions missions, 20 nightfall missions, and 11 eotn missions, for a total of 69. Before the reshuffle 50 missions of the 69 had been available as zquests. The current shuffle would have ended on or about June 30th.
With the reshuffle it will be another 69 days til all missions will be guaranteed to have come up. Which means a complete set of missions will not be guaranteed to have come up until about August 18th.
I had been doing my guardian and master of the north titles as zmissions came up, it helped lessen the grind a bit. This reshuffle has pushed my guaranteed mission completion date out by up to 50 days.
To sum up, the reshuffle has impacted my enjoyment of the game, and I'd appreciate it if something was done to fix it. One fix would be to manually modifying the current shuffle to put any missions that haven't yet been available at patch time at the front of the list.

Z-Quests massively increase the number of people doing any given mission, making it much easier to find a group (or be run, if applicable)...

Don't panic about it too much. You will have the chance to do those quests again when they pop up eventually.
Dzjudz
We're not panicking, we're just disgruntled that our Legendary Guardian with perks will take a month longer .
No, really, I love the z-quests. However, I'm finding myself skipping the recent repeat missions (like today's Minister Cho's Estate) because I did it the first time around. Seems to me like after a full mission rotation only the big reward or 2 minute to complete missions will be done. Therefore, maybe it's good that it's taking longer to finish now, keeps more people in the game (even though it might be just to check which mission is up ).

Is it that hard to change this? It would probably make a lot of people happier right now. In fact, I know a number of people who got back into the game because of these. It was a casual 30 minute thing to do and then log off. I personally thought it was a great way to renew interest in the game. No surprise, most of these people are not doing the repeats and thus the game is going to get stagnate again.
If someone could explain to us why this isn't possible, I'm pretty sure most of us wouldn't be as frustrated then. Just telling us to 'wait till they show up' seems a bit disingenuous.

Thunderhead Keep , again too soon. But Urgoz again in 5 days....... fix the problem!!!
Stop The Storm
urgoz everyday FTW

It's a small hiccup that basically set back some of the quests by like, a week. You only missed out on like, a week.
Some of the repeats were fun, others were stupid. It's just one week and then it'll be back to uniquity.

Yes, but truly how difficult would it be to manually edit whatever file stores this information to restore things so there are no repeats? It seems like a fairly small thing (I am probably wrong), but clearly it's causing people to not enjoy the game.

I think there were a couple of players, including myself, who were relying on the zmissions to hit their guardian titles.
Now that this has been reset, that activity has been left hanging. But the harm is not that devastating. It seems alittle random now, it is repeating some missions but the sequence is jumping back and forth in zmission history.
I wont mind getting those repeat missions again that I missed because I was out on a trip. But I can only wonder whether they would come again soon or I should just go ahead and do them now without corresponding zmission.
