Prestige Armor

Hey guys,

I just re-started playing GW about a week ago.

I have a 20 R/Mo and she has Full Elite Drakescale, I'm wondering, since the new expansions, would the Factions/Nightfall/Eye of the North Prestige armor be any different (Besides the looks, of course)? Or are all the stats the same, except some may look different than others. I'm just wondering because I do not want to go farm more money for something equal to what I have. Also, is the Prestige armor the best armor in the game for each class respectfully?

Yes, of course it is And prestige armor is no better than armor from Droknar's Forge, in terms of stats. The only thing that is different is the looks, and of course an increased price and uses rarer materials to craft.

^^^ That, and only elite armor can be displayed in your Hall of Monuments if you're working on it.

Added to say: if you're going to display elite armour in your HoM, it has to be all from the same set excluding headgear.

you can now make any armor set have any sort of stats you want by swapping out insignias. they are no longer determined by the type of armor you craft.

it used to be pyromancer armor had fire resistance, now it has an empty insignia slot and you can make it have the same stats it once had, or you can make it give you energy bonuses now.

All max armor has same stats, obsidian looks nicer
So if u wanna work towards that go for it

All looks. Same for elite armor (Prestige) to normal max armor. Only looks.
