Once you get up, run away! Eventually the group will stop following, and you can often get them to break up at that point so you don't have to fight more than two at a time.

Its all about timing and positioning, I was going to make a video guide showing how to do HM without getting downed once (without using AoS), back when I was going for survivor, but I forgot about it, and frankly after doing boxing so many times I don't plan on going back to it now that I have it.

Some tips that may help:

Always go for the same target as Kilroy, block as much as possible, learn when to tank for Kilroy, and when to let Kilroy be the punching bag.

It should all be easy up until the narrow path with all the rangers, but if you keep kilroy alive, it really shouldn't be that hard.

Then next, there are two ways of doing the next part; 1 way, you aggro the enemies, then run back to the door, you'll need Kilroy to help you take out one of them, then after that you can just let Kilroy die(yes you let him die, you don't need him aggroing more than you can handle), because you shouldn't be fighting any more than 2 at a time and thats easily manageable. You stay at the doorway so the enemies in the middle are just outside of your aggro bubble, you need to time it perfectly so that the next enemy that runs up wont get aggro'd till you're ready, once you've taken out 2 of them run in and aggro 1 more from the middle, so you'll have one hitting you, one in the middle running towards you, and one getting ready to run to the middle, if you time it right, you will always have 2 enemies on you, when you're "in the zone" after taking out 5 or 6, they will start "spawning" from the side, meaning you wont have to move, just leave the one in the middle and let the ones on the side come to you, rinse and repeat till they are all dead.

The other method, is letting Kilroy tank, its a lot easier when it works, but frankly I'd say its down to luck, because I've only ever got that to work once or twice, yet the method where you stand by the door works like 90% of the time. When Kilroy tanks, every enemy that comes in afterwards will automatically target him, you just have to make sure you stick with Kilroy's targets to quickly relieve the pressure. If after a while Kilroy dies, don't panic when he does, just retreat back to the doorway and use that method.

The first boss, after killing the guys in the middle, the 2 enemies to the far right and left of the boss will spawn, you take them out as soon as possible, then when the others spawn you make sure Kilroy is closest to them so he takes aggro, after that Kilroy should last long enough for you to take out at least one or two of them, and the boss 1v1 is pretty easy. Last part, you just let Kilroy run in first, but make sure you're not too far behind, kilroy will usually go for the etin, you make sure you go for the boss, if all goes well you should be able to take them both out without any problems. Then congratulations you just completed Boxing on HM without getting downed once, just do it another 50 or so times and you'll have r3 in no time.

I perfer to take out Rangers first. They can takeout your block, and can spike your damage. Imo, use uppercut on the nearest full-health enemy, it is an almost guaranteed insta-ko.

One thing that helps a whole lot is to bring an IAS consumable. I remember when I went for my survivor that bringing pumpkin pie made HM much, much more survivable because I could kill much faster (and thus heal more too). And now, we have green, blue, and red candy to make it easier.

Other than that, optimizing your armor and setting "stand up" to as many buttons as you can mash are all you can do. Also, you could go assassin secondary for 12 dagger mastery.

Wow! Thanks for posting this one! I'm a mesmer who's been having trouble doing this in NM, much less trying it in HM, so these suggestions will be alot of help!
