You cannot have . in a tag, as it isn't an asian symbol, nor is it an english letter :P

Only if '_' or something similar can be found in an Asian character. No symbols can be used whatsoever.

It isnt possible to have a "." but korean accounts can have numbers in their char names and guild tags.
