It does, according to wiki

test it out first, I did that, wasn't satisfied, oh and it doesn't affect shelter

I did test it out other wise I wouldn't say anything. I'm satisfied. You're just harder to please so there's not much we can do about that. Don't get me wrong though. I don't think it's the best thing since sliced bread but it does make a difference.

Super fun build, pop up the spirits and destroy them for damage or support. Shame the 10s isn't permanent.

I played around with it with both 10 and 20 second recharge and both work pretty decently. You can't spam feast as much with the 20 second but that's it really.

Spirit also tend to die quickly in PvE, where their low level and Health make them prime targets for the monster AI. So, to make spirits survive longer, we raised their maximum level by four.
Its too bad they didn't directly mention Armor here as being the final point in keeping spirits alive, but it obvious from the skill description thats exactly what it does. Tested in HM, effective in HM. If you see other results, learn to play. Zahr Dalsk
Spirits do seem to be targeted less in HM than they were before.
They also dish out more damage due to getting more of them on the field more quickly. I love the update so far. mazza558 Xjel_Brehon
I've been trying out Armor of Unfeeling and it isn't exactly knocking me off my feet. So far I'm preferring Spiritleech Aura - it tops off their health and does hideous amounts of damage to high armour targets.

This is probably a silly suggestion. But has anyone experimented with echoing it at all? If so how did that fare?

You know that spirits do not stack?
Abedeus
Could A.Net fix it so that ALL spirits attack? It's stupid how 1/3 of the skill is wasted. It's like Protective Spirit blocking every third attack above 10%.

You Rits, including myself, have really been busy. Have you been to a Rune Trader NPC in the last 24 hours. The Minor Spawning rune, if you can find it, is a scarce as Hen's Teeth.
I have never in this game gone to a rune trader and not been able to buy a profession/attribute-based rune. My GH NPC had none, the GToB Rune Trader had none. I finally found one at HzH, but immediately after I bought it the option disappeared. The same has happened with the Shaman Insignia...very hard to find. Verene
Heh.
Yeah, hope no one needs any Rit runes right now. I just popped into HzH to check the rune trader (because that's where I was at the moment)... Anyway, I finally went and got SoS and ooooh boy am I have too much fun with it. That plus Boon of Creation and Essence Strike = hello there insane e-management :P Kendel
I really can't see Spiritleech Aura being that effective. Its in Restoration which means you've got to really spec into a 3rd attribute. It only really works with Vampirism and Bloodsong, Anguish hits for 62 on a hexed foe at 33% IAS, Vampirism/Bloodsong can't beat that. Shadowsong gets blind which is too helpful to drop for an extra ~6 damage. The only reason i take Bloodsong is because Disenchantment would make the build far too energy intensive.

Sorry, think i meant to post that somewhere else regarding SoGM.
That said it still sucks in a SoS build. If you are attempting to use SoS for DPS your going to be dissapointed as even with multiple other spirits its DPS is very poor compared to SoGM. The more spirits your taking the less slots you have for other things. The only reason to take Spiritleech would be to increase your DPS, and since the DPS is nowhere near high enough to be comparable with SoGM builds its a wasted slot. You have to drain attributes from somewhere. Dropping them from Channeling lowers the effectiveness of all the spirits, dropping them from Spawning lowers the strength of your 3 enchantments. Nightow
Not sure if anyone has posted something like this yet but I found this build to be a good mix of offense and defense:
Boon of Creation, Armor of Unfeeling, Union, Displacement, SoS, Vampirism, Summon Spirits, Splinter Weapon. 12+1+1 Channeling (To hit splinter's breakpoint) 10+1 Communing (Never thought I'd get to say that ever again...) 8+1 Spawning (That goes double for this) Precast BoC, followed by spirits and then AoU. Before aggroing, use SS to form a nice wall of spirits and then pull. Monsters will get stuck in your spirit wall which can then be massacred by who ever else is in your party. Make sure to have some melee for splinter weapon. Rinse and repeat! Dahnel
Spiritz makez the badz peoplez fall down !
