Regarding Legendary Survivor for a Factions character

I've just come back to the game after 3 years and started to work on an assassin, found out about the Legendary Survivor title and became interested in trying to earn it. I've read through several guides, searched these forums, watched youtube videos, tried google and several wikis without luck. I'm currently limited to the factions expansion thus I have no access to heros.

Is there an area in prophecies / early factions that I can maximize my experience gain grinding out the same enemies over and over until my head aches? I may have already made a mistake by taking up ranger as my secondary because I've found about zero builds for A/R title grinding. If at all possible I'd prefer an area where I could solo or at most bring a healer henchman along.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

First thing that comes to mind are those Jade Knights right outside Kaineng...

(You can always change your secondary class later, though you do need to progress through the storyline for that)

Unfortunately I do not have access to heros for that. Could I perhaps ascend in tyria and change to monk secondary and use the old 55 build for that?

55 build is tough for survivors. You might be able to pull it off with the Jade knights, but I would expect it to take a couple tries.

Having just factions will limit the choices that are open to you.

First of all, you can get to lvl 18-19 before you even leave the island. Do this by "farming" the mantids, tengu, etc outside the monastary until you are lvl 5-7. Using scolls help here. Then do all the available quests and missions until you can get to the mainland.

Skip the 'last stand' and 'captured son' quests until later. They are doable with just henchies, but a bit tougher at lower levels.

It may be easier to take a full party once you get the mainland and cap skills at 5k each (2x that on the special weekends when it happens again). Getting to Senji's Corner (where you can change secondary professions) is pretty early on in Factions and that will open up more skills to get xp with.
