Plz bring back the original Ether Prism

Disclaimer: I'm not talking about the last nerf here, I'm talking about the original Ether Prism:

"Elite Spell. Gain 0...2...2 Energy for each point of Energy you have (maximum 50 Energy)."

I really miss this skill because it allowed some nice niche builds which involved Glyph of Lesser Energy, Ether Prism with a high Energy Storage and some high-energy non-ele skills.

I would like to see this skill back. If necessary, move the current functionality of Ether Prism to a new skill so we can have both.

It sucked.

Nobody used that skill. You wasted your elite just for some conditional energy gain.

Yeah, gaining ridiculous amounts of energy every 12 seconds is definitely bad.......

and who would wanna spam heal party (for example) without a break forever anyways....

Wasting elite skill for maybe some energy is weak.

You get interrupted, you lose 25 energy. Also, Ether Renewal is better if you just want pure energy.

Ether Prism is actually useful now.

the original version was bad, but they even made it worse , bcus now there is some gay iway in HA ..
but anyway..why would you use non-ele skills , when you're an ele ?
those builds must be bad
it's the best to play with eles skills when ur an ele imo..

Elementalists that make a good use of their support abilities (because Elementalist is a support class) are good.

Bad elementalists that just pack 7 nuking skills are uberschlecht. I mean, very bad.

The skill is much better today then it was before. You had to have at least 25 Energy to use the 'old' skill and IMO, 25 Energy isn't low. 10 Energy is when I'd use a skill like that and it just wouldn't work out. It was used as an emergency skill in the original version of it but it required 25 Energy, thats ridiculous. Today costing only 5 Energy and giving the bonus of taking no damage for a short time, then healing your Energy for a decent amount it balances out to be pretty good... it just works out so much better.

However Hyper.nl has a point. If it was still around I would use it. But thats just me, not my fault I have an open mind unlike the rest of the people that posted something involving the word "useless". Notice how I also made a well thought out post rather than just spouting "lolz its useless because im an idiot"

It is much better now.

And I like these Ele/Rits more than the Rit/Sins with MoI.

Yes, because since the beginning of this game, ele's have been used (and abused) to power high-energy skills from other professions.

But we all know all those people that used to play GW PvP sucked balls and didn't know what they were doing, right?

The original was bad because glyph of lesser energy, a non elite skill, was just as good if not better. You gain 25 energy (two free casts of 15 energy spells, minus the 5 it cost to cast), plus however much you gain from the attunments you have for the 2 free spells you just cast (which for 2 15 energy spells is 8). So.... a non elite skill that gains you 41 energy and only has a 5 energy cost...

You NEVER needed both. Why would anybody need 90+ energy every 15 seconds is beyond me.

Actually, the old Master of Magic was better then the new one.

It was really good for a PVE E/Rt using Vampirism and GOLE to trigger 4 energy return per spell cast.

I corrected the Signet for you. For the rest: I cannot agree with you here.

It's a fact that the old Ether Prism + Glyph of Lesser Energy allowed Elementalists to spam high energy skills and get decent healing at the same time via Aura of Restoration. Maybe not as all-purpose build but it surely had a number of viable original/creative builds that have been axed now.
