Hi I was wondering, since I am a catacombs fan(I loved the one in pre), but is UW linked to it?

I don't think so, the catacombs were only in ascalon and the underworld is a whole different place.

They look a lot similiar though just a lot of higher lvl monsters lol.

IDTS, the catacombs were were the dead rested, the UW is over-run by spirits, the souls of the dead, not the corpses themselves. I've always wondered before...took a lot of thinking.

Are you asking if you can enter the Underworld (level 20, acended content) from the Catacombs (pre-sear content)?

My thoughts would be no, as the catacombs are located in an area near Ashford Abbey. In post-searing this would be in an area comparable to where Sardalac Sanitarium is located. This is the area called "Ascalon" within the continent of "Tyria".

The Underworld (not the explorable) is accessed through gateways in several different locations, and to my understanding is a realm not of the mortal world, but of a different sphere of existance. It is indeed a realm of tormented souls and demonic monsters and not of the undead as is the catacombs.

The catacombs still exist post-searing, you just can't enter it anymore.
But as others have said, the Underworld exists out of the mortal plane of existance. Same with the Fissure of Woe, and Hall of Heroes.
