I never gotten or bought one, but the question that I have is I have the first 2 games they made factions being the last if I by a elite tomb will I have the options of a elite off a expansion I don't have? I hope so because it seems in PVP you must have the last expansion to get the upper edge

1. No, you have to have the expansion to get a skill from that expansion.

2. The word is "tome."

Slight offtopic:

Why do people call tomes "tombs"? When browsing trade channel, be it european or american districts, I see "wtb elite necro tomb" "wts war tomb". Where does such a mistake come from? Is there something else than those words looking pretty similiar with each other? Why doesn't people call todays zaishen quest iron mines of moladunb?

Maybe they are looking for a place to bury their characters?

I guess the word "tomb" comes from people being lazy or something who knows.

To answer OP's question, you can only get skills from TOMES that are from the games you have, you cannot get skills from other games. Same goes for skill trainer and most obviously......... capping.

Could be a simple matter of a language barrier, errors in translations that get passed on. By the way, it's: "Why don't people call today's...." ;P

Tomb and tome are homophones. For anybody not a native English speaker, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Tomb is a soft b, and is not pronounced like "comb" with a hard b. The word tomb is pronounced "two-m" and tome is pronounced "toe-m." Anyone who has heard the word tome spoken (via vent, etc) could easily mistake one word for the other. Plus, when you see so many people misspelling it, a lot of people who have never seen a tome just start parroting the error.

Yeah, not like I'm good at english by myself. It doesn't help to post in a hurry either.

Thank you, as I think of it now, it kinda makes sense. Strange how pronouncing affects to writing as well.
