Rotty-PuG.
Tried it with heroes, failed miserably.
Jumped back to ToA - couldn't find a group among those party-hating English people, jumped to the US district and formed a really random team. A bunh of mesmers, necros, ... waited for that second monk though.
We went to the guy - we had some issues with out warrior since the guy was a pussy, which also proved to be a problem later on. He would aggro and then rush back unleashing hell onto everyone in the party ... After we explained how to do it - he started doing a better job.
We get to Rotty, some people die, but we chatted, we laughed and after Rotty wiped, we decided to VQ and map the area also.
All in all - a bunch of really sweet people. Nothing insanely extraordinary in terms of player skill - but as long as you get the job done, I don't mind giving up some effectiveness for actually having sweet people in my party.

I went to my friends at the Viz Square weekend and while my friend let me in his wife was playing Viz Square with randoms.
All of a sudden, right after the last standing fight at the Rt boss the other team noticed time and decided to resign. They thought they failed. So my friends team was all alone and also willing to resign. My friend asked them to reconsider and push forward. End of story: Masters time. The other time messed up their NM and HM times...
From what I've seen the team she was in was very good.
I had some fun in an AB team a couple of days ago.
Two assassins, an ele and me as warrior. Together with the other teams we did some massive ownage and had no deaths on our team.
For some odd reason we coordinated well enough to take out opponents before they got annoying. Having 4 players with KD's probably also helped :P

I tend to be pretty lucky when it comes to PUGs. Most of the ones I get into are pretty good (I was actually surprised to learn that H/H were often considered better than PUGs, until I started seeing some bad PUGs; then I figured out why).
When I get into PUGs we tend to steamroll over everything. So much so that most of the time as my dervish I often don't even bother with my enchantments; stuff dies before I get the chance to really make use of them (though to be fair, this is NM I'm talking about, which apparently you can get through with Mending [snicker snicker, yeah right, love to see someone do Gate of Madness with mending, even though the overall argument does hold water]), so my PUG experiences can't be THAT extraordinary. Still, it is amazing how much better a good PUG is than H/H.

Decided to have my monk pug Frostmaw last night. First try...somebody d/c while rest of team gets themselves killed. Ppl didnt want to wait, so team dissolved.
Next try didnt start to good, the team leader was typical wammo who aggroed too much and didnt listen to when casters called low energy or someone called afk...phone.
And then on start of lvl3 we got team wipe and he ragequit.
Rest of us: 3 rangers, me as HB, a heal rit, a nuker and a mesmer decided to give it a try. We managed to finish it, with no tank
It wasnt elegant, but I love to be with dedicated ppl who dont give up at the first sight of trouble

Helped my friend doing Raitsu Palace the other day and got an forbidden key drop at the end, thought I'd use it so last night I randomly joined a group for Raitsu Palace again. At first I thought we won't make past first boss, we had 3 warriors, 2 rangers, 1 necro, 1 channeling rit and only 1 sheild of regeneration prot monk hero (nice PUG aint it?). I didn't care as long as we make to a chest before the team fails, and we even had Talon died on us so we had to fight the entire first big room with mobs coming from all 3 sides, still finished got master's.
On a separate note I'd like to say something about the ZBounty last night, I stood around about 1.5 hours in Sifhalla trying to get a group to kill Frostmaw and never even made out the door, I was in 4 different groups that all just self-destructed, wonder if this is because not a lot people do this dungeon on a regular basis or what but seems that nobody can agree on a build. One of the groups I was in made a warrior change his build about 3 times after they settled on the ObiTank build, at which point I broke my silence and mentioned the ObiTank being a warrior would need a bonder to keep up the energy, then the warrior got pissed 'cause of all the build changes and the monks got pissed 'cause they both have settled on UA and HB, all 3 rage quit at that point. I ended up dropping the quest and went to bed.
