I've been playing an Ele since my start of GW, a Mesmer, Necro, Monk, Warrior, Assassin, and a Dervish for a while aswell. They are all lvl20, and have gotten a good set of armor, and nice weapons. They are all PvE, and I tend to PvE a lot more, but when the time comes, make them play PvP. I have one mule slot, (staying, idc what you say) lol, and a spare slot. I do plan on buying a new slot for whatever reason.
Anyways, to the point.
Should I make a Ranger, Paragon, or Rit?
Is it worth it? I know Rangers are played more than the others, but I find them annoying to play. So, what's best, a Paragon or Ritualist? Any reason WHY I should make wichever you support? (Actual answers please).
What's the best strengths of Paragons and weaknesses, and best strengths for Rits and weaknesses for them. Wich is better to be made? Any specific reasons why? I'm really trying to decide wich to make
P.S. Mods, move where you see fit, I couldn't decide
Is it worth it?

To me, Rangers are only fun in PvP. Out of paragon and ritualist, I would go with ritualist because it starts in a easier campaign to get out of, its recently buffed spirit spamming skills can be fun, you can be a damage dealer, healer, minion master, and it has farming potential with vwk and 600/330 rit.
With Paragon you can go godmode with the save yourself build but its not very fun. (although it is very effective)

Paragon Strengths: Very good party support, have the most Imba build out there save permaform, and have decent attack power on top of it
Weaknesses: The least flexible of any class in GW outside of their own profession, as nothing but a /W secondary seems to commonly help them. They only have one really viable build, and it's incredibly boring to play. Also, you get idiots who make fun of you if you're a male dervish for the 'miniskirt'. Idiots who don't know a thing about history :P
Ranger Strengths: probably the most flexible of the three, Expertise is an amazing attribute, and with Spirit's buffed now I'm sure you could play a decent spiritspammer. Rangers are a Jack of All Trades profession
Weaknesses: They are a Jack of all trades profession, which also means they are master of none.
Ritualist Strengths: Weapon spells and spirits are fixed now for PvE. Offensive based Spirit Spammers are good. Not overpowered but good. Defensive ones with Ritual Lord are even better, and provide good prot. Basic healing spells for Rits pack a hell of a punch. esspecially Spirit Light. It should be noted that one thing that turned me OFF to rit healers in PvE is the reliance on spirits. Now that they are buffed, I'd imagine that's much better. I like Rit healers better then monks in PvE, but I hated casting for three seconds while my team is getting slaughtered.
Weaknesses: They still don't have many builds that make them useful in most Meta cases. PUGs will still hate Rits because they think they do a sub-par job at everything they do.
Personally, I'd say Rit. That's what I'm about to do :P

Mehhh...All those see no use to me in PvE besides imbagon, and although rits got a huge buff, still better stuff.
For most fun, Rit or Para, I prefer Rit.
But, I can't say I hate my earthshaker beastmaster ranger, gawd, fun.
