i want to come back to gw this summer for 5 weeks,
ive been out a while and wonder what is one of the nicest professions to play on casually.

Hey. If you're playing casually, any profession can be fun. Depends what you like to do. If you prefer melee, derv and warrior are fine casuals, some people prefer assassin.

For casting, ele would be the easiest to grasp or perhaps paragon. Monks/Mesmers are pretty tough/thankless jobs sometimes but highly rewarding and difficult to master. Ritualist isn't very tasking or action packed imo.

Rangers are fun for a little while but get boring necros are pretty heavily destructive and create mayhem when set up right.

If you are going PvE, just go with what suits you best.

If your only going to be playing casually, you will want to play a profession that you enjoy playing. What were your favourate professions to play before you left GW? Think about that, and you will probably have the answer to your question.

Playing something you don't like defeats the purpose of playing. We don't know what you like to play, so we can't really answer your question.
