Probably one of the mose common high-end skins, Tormented weps seem to be everywhere. Wether its PvE or PvP, i think they are amazing. Ok maybe thats a little bit of an exaggeration, but who dosent mine a bit of weapon bragging now and then? ^___^
Just getting to the point of this thread here goes my questions (sorry if they sound n00by, i dont know much of DoA):
• Buy the armbrace or buy the gems?
• What are the selling/buying prices of the four types of gems? (Torm/Titain/Styg/Margo)
• Are Coffers worth buying, or go straight for the gems/armbrace?
• What are the "farms" or ways to obtain each type of gem insted of buying?
• A while back, there was an incident where people cloned the armbraces, some are said to still be in circulation, will these still work with the collector, or are they a "brick"?
Thanks!

Doing clears of DoA with guild/alliance a few times through in HM is the most cost effective way for sure. DO NOT buy Coffers and pray. Gemsets are fine, the Armbraces themselves are fine.
If you have the option to actually do DoA, you ought to do it that way. Still, buying gemsets or braces at market value isn't necessarily a rip-off.

I'd say if possible do some runs with guild/ally

i think your other questions have been answered so i'll answer the last one:
the cloned ones act just as the legitimate ones. they will work with the collector.

• Buy the armbrace or buy the gems?
Armbrace, will be cheaper.
• What are the selling/buying prices of the four types of gems? (Torm/Titain/Styg/Margo)
Tormented 3k, Titan 5k, Stgian 3k, Margonite 2-3k.
• Are Coffers worth buying, or go straight for the gems/armbrace?
Nope, unless you like gambling.
• What are the "farms" or ways to obtain each type of gem insted of buying?
Clear each area, in order in NM you get 1 2 3 4 and HM you get 2 4 6 8 from the end chests. 4 areas.
• A while back, there was an incident where people cloned the armbraces, some are said to still be in circulation, will these still work with the collector, or are they a "brick"?
Nope, they will work, most people who duped armbraces got banned.

One thing with regard to, "Buy the armbrace or buy the gems?" ...
I'm far from a DoA expert, but as I understand it the only way to convert gems to an armbrace is to use an NPC that spawns after finishing a quest in one of the areas. If you can't reliably clear at least one of the areas, I'd recommend against buying the gems individually. You wouldn't be able to convert them to an armbrace. You can trade an armbrace for a tormented thingy with an NPC in the outpost, and it requires only that you have a character who can get to the outpost.
Oh, and from the few times I've played in there, it seems like the gems are also a possible drop from the monsters in the area. You're guaranteed to get a gem(s) from the chest after finishing the area's questline, but there's the potential for additional gem drops as you fight.
If I'm wrong about this, hopefully, someone will come along and correct me.

Arduin
Or buy the weapon directly from someone. Those tend to be cheaper than an armbrace.
