GW2 Dragon Concept Art?
Shewmake
I'm not sure if this has been brought up on GWG before or not, but this photo of a fan-made Charr (the Christmas attire was made by Katie Hargrove) is on ArenaNet's Facebook page. The concept art on the top of the right-hand display looks like a dragon...I'm pretty sure it is. I'm not sure what's above it, though. It looks like ship sails (Orrian dragon?), but I doubt they are. So...comments?
Oh, and clearly there is Utopia concept art below it.

+ I think the sails would be black if they are sails.
Mordakai
pretty sure they're both Utopia concept art, but that doesn't mean they won't be in GW2.
It's not orrion, it could be a new Lion's Arch / Hall of Heroes statue. (Lion's Arch will be the new PvP area in GW2).

It doesnt look like a dragon to me, or at least not in the traditional sense. It looks more like a gargoyle-type thing.
Ugh, sickened by the fact that we're resorting to speculation about a holiday photo from anet's office because a lack of gw2 info...

nope, those are all GW.
It looks more like a metal hawk to me. probably for faction, if not mistaken, its called Preparations for Test Flight.
the full picture is here << CGHUB link.
these are interesting: for me at least, cos i never seen them before, but most probably are un-used left over concept art of GW. Still, the imagination... so pretty

Defeated Dragon
Possibly the test flight art is a machine we might use to combat a dragon in flight?

That reminds me of some Nightfall concept art I've seen...can't remember what it's called, though. I think it's the one w/ the bird-inspired windmill.

Hehe, I wonder how we are going to kill dragons that are about a size of a big block of flats D: Maybe echo vanguard sniper headshot or something..
Dont Nerf The Perma

The original concept for the luxons had them being technically advanced and building all sorts of giant robots that they used to traverse/mine the sea. So this was probably less of a building, and more of a ship that could fly.

"The guilds of Tyria have grown and expanded, despite the destruction of the Battle Isles. Balthazar helped raise a new temple in Lion's Arch, stepping on the hearthstone of the construction and opening a gate there to the Mists, so that heroes of each world could compete in contest."
then later, a whole section on Lion's Arch
"When the waters that inundated Lion’s Arch after Orr rose from the sea began to recede, the ruins of that once majestic city became a pirate stronghold. Those seagoing vessels driven off the Orrian island chain by the rise of the undead found safe haven in the ruins of Lion’s Arch and created there a neutral town open to all races, ruled in a mercenary fashion.
The Battle Isles flooded at the same time, decimating the temples. The priests of Balthazar scattered for a time, before also finding their way to Lion’s Arch after the tides began to recede. They claim they were called there by Balthazar, and the god did indeed open a massive portal within the city to the Mists where a great battle between worlds wages for his favor. With the fall of the Battle Isles, Lion’s Arch became the Guild Home, a central point for the guilds of the world as well as the conduit to the Hero’s Hall."
Martin Kerstein
Hmm, but that passage says that Balthazar opened a portal in Lion's Arch to the Mists "where a great battle between worlds wages for his favor."

The only explanation i got is that those are luxon ships used for transport "Levithians"
Konig Des Todes
First is Utopia, second I don't know, third is Prophecies. If I'm not mistaken.
Also, shouldn't this thread be merged with this one already on possible GW2 concept art?

I see, thanks Konig.
Second one is entitled Ascalon 2 (by the poster on flickr), I think its most probably left over concept art.
Utopia looks awesome!

I'm glad Utopia's the foundation for GW2, though we don't know what they've thrown out/ kept.

all these exciting pictures, I can't wait for gw2 :O

Yeah, I've been keeping tabs on that site for a couple years - they don't post a lot of GW-related art before release, but there's still some amazing stuff on it. Wish I could draw like that. Anyway, the ConceptArt threads are the GW ones.
