Hey guys,
With the aquisition of my first Zealous weapon, (a bow), I got thinking: Does unlocking mods in PvP and PvE make it more likely to find them in PvE in the future?

I have no statistical data to back it up, but I'm fairly convinced unlocking mods in PvP or PvE doesn't affect the rate of them dropping.

I seem to get mods completely randomly, and cant see why they would bother making it more likely to get certain mods over others.
So no, no link between them, I reckon, as Arduinna said ^^

There is no link.
For instance - most of the mods I've got unlocked are from PvE.

I don't think there is a link here, but it is true that some mods occur more often than others. A lot of it is down to luck - many people I've spoken to got their first black dye (as an example) in presearing, but I didn't get mine until my first character was doing the Titan Source quest (about 3-4 months after I started playing).

i dont think there is a connection eithere.

Unlocking has nothing to do with drop rates, those remain full random, unaffected by any outside effects.

I got the unlock pack two years ago.
I got yesterday my first +30 for axes.
So, no, I don't think so.
