"Leave GtOb" Function
Wrath of m0o
You know the Leave Guild Hall function that lets you map travel back to where you were, before you went there?
Wouldnt it be nice if this function worked on The Great Temple of Balthazar.
It sure would be a nice function for the players that go to HA, RA, TA, Hero Battles..and of course..The Great Temple of Balthazar.
Every time i do a Zaiten Quest i find myself map traveling 3 times(4 if your in DoA or Urgoz/Deep) to get back into play.
What im proposing is a GtOb hotkey, same as the one we have for the Guild Hall, so we can spend more time playing the game, and less time loading unwanted screens..resulting in less lag.

Can we has an Asura Gate in the Pvp Isles, and given the choice to teleport to EotN.

Definitely a good idea since we're usually mapping there from/to Z-Quest locations now.

I'd rather have a '/travel xx' command, but this isn't bad either.
dusanyu
Om what part of PvP Isles don't you get? no reason for a Asura gate there because EOTN had no PvP areas.
GTOB is Fine Just because it is Littered by care bears now does not mean that Anet should turn it into carealot

WTF??? What do carebears have to do with a good idea?? GToB isnt a PvP area anymore anyways. Its a massive PvE hang out.

I want a list of locations to come up instead of the maps itself. Henge of Denravi to Gate of Madness Instantly? 3 Less Loading Screens? Ftw!

Consider the fact that every click by the player at some level constitutes one instruction. This will reduce the number of instructions overall. Less stuff on the server has to be good! /signed

It would be nice if the boats showed a map of the different continents, then let you choose where you want to map travel. That way you could not only bypass the busy, lag heavy areas, but also travel directly where you want to go. You would no longer have to travel 3-4 times.
Ferminator
This would be great I reckon, cause its got the zquests there and I'm going back and forth accepting then getting the rewards.

On that note a /(insert town here) command would be awesome and an Asura Undergate for PvE players only to access.

This would be ok, but I'd rather just have a "Go back to the outpost I was in before this one" button that worked everywhere rather than just GToB.

It's not even just the extra click-through. Only Kaineng Center is an 8-man outpost. To go from GTOB, or anywhere not in the same campaign, to Prophesies or Nightfall requires breaking up the party, zoning in, making sure everyone is in the same district (not usually a problem until Zmissions), etc.
The logistics of it are poor.

A command based /travel "name of outpost here" would be a waste of the Devs time, simply put, a very small minority of the user base would actually be able to use it, given their inability to spell even trivial things, like the names of heroes, skills or professions...
I've always wondered why the main 'world maps' didn't have a navigation arrow on either side, so one could quickly flick from campaign map to campaign map, and choose your destination...
I could be sitting in Yak's Bend, press M to bring up the Prophecies/EotN combined world map... at the tap of the navigation arrows it would switch to the Factions map, I click my destination and I'm rezoning into Tahnnakai Temple without the need to visit Kaineng Center.
Easy, simple... it's a wonder why it wasn't implemented.
Smart, time saving navigation isn't lazy... it's smart and time saving

I don't really need it, I have no problem hopping via LA to go to EotN, or to Kamadan to go inside the Vortex. But I would use the function if they implemented it

Just change the maps so you don't have to travel to the port town of a region before traveling to other outposts in that region.
Instead show the map of any region from any region and done.
Click the boat, show Elona, Click the Vortex, show the Torment, click the Gate of Anguish, travel.
And done.

Would prefer to have a list too, but this will do... some places are really ridiculous to load into these days... i.e. Spamadan and GtoB. Kaineng is the best travel spot for me these days.
